An eruption of fun Family-owned park Lost Island was built during the pandemic by ex-furniture manufacturers from an original concept - a rarity in today’s era of attraction IPs based on films, television and even toys. Lost Island consists of an outdoor waterpark, new theme park, go-karts and mini golf, for unforgettable family fun. The theme park is formed of five unique realms,
each with its own distinct architecture, culture and characters: air, water, earth, fire and spirit. The Tamariki people are central to Lost Island, as they maintain the balance of the four sacred elements.

VOLKANU – Quest for the Golden Idol is located in the Mura (fire) realm; housed inside a monumental volcano structure and serving as a beacon to the volcanic land, rife with terrifying monsters and thrilling, heart-stopping rides. The Mura are fierce warriors, athletes and spiritual guides who are responsible for keeping watch of the most important artifact on the island: The Ora Tika idol. Designed by Drew Hunter, VP creative design
at Sally, the VOLKANU dark ride seamlessly intertwines with the park’s mythical island theme. Housed in a 9,750 square foot building, riders experience over four minutes of powerful storytelling imparted via elaborate scenes featuring special effects like scent, fire, fog and video projection, incredibly life-like shaman animatronics and real-time gaming from custom created media. Four trackless ride vehicles, each holding six passengers, enable a capacity of 327 people per hour.
Once aboard the Inferno Transport vehicles, adventurers set off into the jungles of Lost Island in search of the six evil tiki statues which guard the sacred Ora-Tika idol. If they destroy the six tikis and secure the Ora-Tika – defeating the living lava scorpions, spiders and bats along the way - they must return the idol to the altar in the Temple of Fire where they will do battle with VOLKANU to save Lost Island!
