Danish theming firm MK Themed Attractions assisted UK family park Paultons Park in getting its brand-new themed area, Tornado Springs, ready for 12 April by producing and delivering customised props for the entire area.

After building a successful 20 year career in the amusement industry with organisations such as IAAPA, Premier Rides, S&S Worldwide and Extreme Engineering, industry veteran Pete Barto has launched a new company, PB Amusement, with the purpose of matching operators with the best, brightest, and most appropriate new products and services available to the market. From roller coasters, 4D theatres and adventure attractions to theming, engineering and food and beverage, PB Amusement claims it will have a quality, trustworthy, smart and entertaining solution to serve you and your guests based on the company’s knowledge of the industry and wide-ranging personal and professional relationships. Drayton Manor Resort, part of the Looping Group, has entered into an official partnership with leading experience economy software developer and app innovator Convious to implement a fully integrated eCommerce, crowd control and guest experience platform. This multi-year deal will see Convious collaborate with Drayton Manor Resort to streamline and enhance performance through a parkwide ticketing solution that encompasses operational management, finance and guest experience features. This will enable complete real-time insights and control, all through one cloud-based platform.
The initial focus for the data-driven AI solution will be on driving better online conversion rates, introducing dynamic pricing to the resort and enhancing the guest purchase experience during and after their visit.

Simtec Systems wins two Golden Crown Awards
imtec Systems has received two Asia Attractions Golden Crown Awards in the categories Outstanding Motion/Flying Theatrrs Supplier (International) and Outstanding Family Ride Supplier (International). The winning products are, respectively, the HEXaFLITE72 Flying Theatre “Flying over Chongqing” in Chongqing Sunac Land, and three FUNRIDE 21 Open Cabin Simulators for the newly designed Super Wings theming area in the OCT Chongqing Happy Valley, China.
The HEXaFLITE72 flying theatre is driven by a dynamic 6DOF hydraulic motion system, guaranteeing smooth soaring movements and dynamic sequences. The HEXaFLITE series is currently the flying theatre ride with the strongest passenger
carrying capacity and the most powerful motion performance. This system is characteristically for high- safety, outstanding product design, reliable product quality and smooth system operation. Large-scale dynamic theatre Jett Mountain City Pursuit, located in Chongqing Happy Valley, China, sees guests take a thrilling flight over Chongqing City, especially the Liangjiang New District, where Chongqing Happy Valley is located. Three different Super Wings characters can be chosen for the ride. The themed ride vehicles are equipped with special effects such as wind, water and fragrance. Simtec also equipped the theatre with an ultra-high-definition audio and 3D video system to create an all-round immersive experience.
Dreamworld resort hotel

uture Dreamworld guests will be able to stay and play, with plans underway for a new $75 million Dreamworld Resort including a resort-style hotel
and tourist park. Dreamworld is excited to announce that it
has entered into an agreement with experienced accommodation developer Evolution Group to fund and build an accommodation precinct on part of the surplus land owned by Ardent Leisure adjacent to the Dreamworld park. The accommodation offering will include a 4-star 250-room resort-style hotel, 40 bungalows and a 5-star tourist park with 100 powered sites. Dreamworld Resort will be designed to cater to all guests, especially interstate travellers, with a broad range of family friendly accommodation options, as well as restaurants, conferencing facilities and leisure facilities such as swimming pools and a gymnasium. Guests of Dreamworld Resort will also have exclusive
