Best Green Initiative of the Year Paultons Park
Paultons Park, set in the award-winning New Forest National Park, has generated 357 MWh of solar power since March 2025, providing 84% of the energy needed to operate its largest themed world, Tornado Springs.
The family-owned park invested £1.5 million in solar car ports and rooftop panels across eleven buildings. Since activation, these installations have saved 68 tonnes of
- equivalent to planting over 4,000 trees. Supported by a 430-kW battery energy storage system, the solar infrastructure ensures energy is available even after dark. Already generating 35% of its total electricity on-site, the park aims to reach at least 50%, complementing efforts with sensoractivated LED lighting and energyefficient systems for rides and vehicles. Through The Paultons Promise, the park demonstrates its dedication to environmental stewardship, community, and guest well-being.
