American parks, notably those in New York and California, which never opened. Those that did experienced delayed openings, social distancing requirements, and reduced capacity. Openings of many new attractions were postponed. The lingering pandemic will affect attendance in 2021, so full recovery of business may be a year away. But parks are expected to reopen this year and those attractions whose openings had been postponed will now open, along with a variety of new ones. There are six new parks opening in


North America, including three that had their openings postponed in 2020. There


are also dozens of other rides and attractions planned for 2020. According to the Roller Coaster Data Base, there are 163 roller coasters scheduled to open worldwide in 2021. North America will see 35 new or relocated coasters, 13 more than last year when 11 openings were postponed. For comparison, in 2019 prior to the arrival of the pandemic, 45 opened. Morgan’s Wonderland, San Antonio, Texas, hopes to have its grand opening in this summer. The $3 million complex that will offer fitness and competition for athletes with different abilities. The three-acre facility will mirror the mission of inclusion that drives unique Morgan’s Wonderland theme park
