Dark Rides Legoland New York will be home to the first Lego Factory Adventure dark ride that will let riders experience what it feels like to become a Lego minifigure — from the manufacturing process to the box to the hands of a kid. It is supplied by ETF and Holovis. The park will also introduce a second dark ride, Lego Ninjago The Ride. Suppliers include Triotech, Rocas & Design, and ART Engineering. California Adventure at Disneyland, Anaheim, California, the new Spider-Man attraction will be a web-slinging dark ride. Guests will use Spider-Man’s web-shooters to fire webs at screens as the ride vehicle engages in a swinging sensation, just like to the superhero’s web-swinging through New York City’s skyscrapers. Pets: Off the Leash! dark ride at Universal Studios Hollywood on the former site of the Globe Theater. Finally opened in April 2021, it was days from opening last year when the pandemic struck. Knotts Bear-y Tales

will get a new Ratatouille dark ride as part of the France pavilion expansion. A copy of the $150 million Remy’s Totally Zany Adventure attraction at the Disneyland Paris resort, the attraction will transport guests in trackless ride vehicles with 3-D projections and special effects. Riders will be shrunk to the size of a rat, move around giant food props and towering kitchen utensils as they explore Paris from the point of view of Remy in the 2007 film. Rders see 3-D images projected on giant domed screens in several locations. Knott’s Berry Farm, Buena Park,
California, will bring back the Bear-y Tales dark ride. From Triotech, it replaces the Voyage to the Iron Reef 4-D interactive dark ride, also from Triotech, that debuted at the park in 2015. Guests will follow Boysen Bear and Girlsen Bear as they travel to the Country Fair in hopes of winning a blue ribbon for their boysenberry pie. New digitally rendered scenes will recreate the Boysenberry Pie Factory, Frog Forest,
Fortune Teller Camp, Thunder Cave and Weird Woods from the original attraction. Riders will be armed with jelly blasters they will train on thieving coyotes who have stolen boysenberry pies from the factory.
Water Rides It’s opening postponed from 2020 in Sandusky, Ohio, Cedar Point guests can now become part of the story aboard Snake River Expedition, a nod to the park’s former Western Cruise and Paddlewheel Excursions boat rides. They can embark on riverboats scientifically designed for exploration and adventure and travel along the winding Snake River that surrounds Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island.
