The evolution of access controls systems in the entertainment industry went through different stages. From long queues in which a physical entry ticket should be presented to be able to use an attraction, with all the inconveniences that this entailed such as: longer times to access the attraction, manual control of the amount of people who enter, diffi culty to carry a quick record of the capacity allowed and occupied, among others. Sacoa, being both operator and developer, with its extensive experience and knowledge of this industry, continues to work day by day on the development of products and solutions on both software and hardware, to facilitate tasks, improve operations, reduce costs and simplify control. It has been shown that the level of control and security that a cashless system brings to an operation is immediately refl ected in increased revenue. The transactions become more secure, faster, and end with a great user experience. For these reasons, most of operators have migrated to a cashless system. Control Access System (CAS) This system has two different working modes:

1 – Entrance Based Mode: Controls the entrance and exit to a ride or attraction, as well as the time of entrance and exit. This mode is used mainly for the following purpose: To calculate the average time of guests at an attraction
2 – Time Based Mode:
Controls the time spent by guests at an attraction, and allows charging the customer for any extra time spent before exit. It is used specifi cally for attractions which are priced based on a predetermined lapse of time (“free time”), which could be extended by the guest. The four-turnstile format obeys to attractions, such as laser tag arenas, where guests spend some time gearing up after entering the attraction, before the actual playing time begins.
Laser Tag module The Laser Tag module is part of the Sacoa’s Online Event Booking software, and allows handling multiple attractions (or special rooms, with a limited capacity and certain duration per session). It operates in two ways: - From the Event Booking backend software, it allows the operator to reserve the laser tag or other attraction for a particular party (the party could have been booked online before, by the end customer on his own, or it can also be booked at the same backend by company staff taking the reservation over the phone). - From the POS Stations, it allows scheduling
walk-ins, printing a brief slip with the time they are booked for.

Trampoline Parks module Access the Trampoline Park module directly from the Sacoa Online Event Booking Module. Customers are able to book time slots online or at the location, choosing any available dates, for one or more people.
They also have the possibility of signing waivers online, before arriving at the premises to speed up the process. Once at the location they pick up the bracelet that allows them to start enjoying their jumping time. Walk-ins options are also available: booking, payment and waiver signing within the premises. Regarding Hardware items for Access Control for rides and attractions, Sacoa has developed the following products:
Sacoa turnstile Turnstiles increase security and allow the effi cient entrance and exit into and out of the facility. This is because entrants can simply swipe or tap their cards on the reader hooked on the turnstile and gain access, avoiding traffi c or backups at access points. Without entrance turnstiles, people must be manually checked by an attendant, which takes a much longer time.
They also make it much harder for people to sneak into venues without paying, allowing you to minimise losses and increase your bottom line.
