How do you connect with your guests both before and after their visit?
James Mancey, Paulton’s Park: At Paultons we use our website and social channels to communicate with our guests before their visit, social media is a great way of keeping our guests up to date with what to expect from their day at the park. After the visit we use our App and email communication to obtain up to date feedback and encourage guests to stay engaged with our brand.
Michala Svane, Tivoli: Understanding the guest journey is important to create an enchanting experience for our guests before, during and after their visit. We use data driven marketing to target potential guests and in our e-mail marketing we try to have inspiring content and showing guests how to make the most of their visit (how to buy tickets in advance, what to experience in the Garden, where to eat, etc.). If we have the necessary permission, we send an e-mail survey after the visit, thanking our guests for their visit and asking for their feedback.
Paul Nelson, Waldameer: One of the best ways to connect with guests is to spend time in the park and see what they’re doing, watch the expressions on their faces, and see what gives them enjoyment. I tell my employees the most important thing in their job is to please the guest and help them whenever needed. The most important thing you can do is make the community understand that it is their park and you are taking care of it for them.
Rebecca Wood, Six Flags Great Escape Resort: Our favourite ways to connect with our guests prior to their visit are through social media, our e-newsletter, and our website,
sixflags.com. These platforms are the best way to stay up to date with what is happening at our resort. Our newsletter even features tips on how to make the most of your day, which are a great way to prepare for a visit. If our guests opt-in to take our Guest Satisfaction Survey after their visit, we send them a survey to tell us about their recent experience. Our management team reviews survey responses unfailingly, and we use that feedback to pave the future path for the property. Our guests’ voices are important to us, and we are always listening with open ears.
