Park Profile www.parkworld-online.com

Let’s mention five of the main ingredients: Safety, Team, Service, Friendliness and

Sensitivity, all combined with an essential value, eco-sustainability: we respect the environment as much as possible through concrete actions like biodegradable and compostable tableware, 100% renewable energy and a solar PV system installed in the car park, and over 1.000 plants for a really green park.

It’s interesting the way your website allows guests to plan their day according to what they want to experience - ‘Emotions’, ‘Fun’ and ‘Adventure’ – how does each experience differ? We like the idea that families with small kids prefer to be prepared for a visit at our theme park, that’s why we studied this system that helps people choosing among our attractions which one best fit their children’s attitude, age and height. Smaller kids may prefer quieter attractions and meeting their cartoons’ heroes, while their big brothers and sisters prefer funny entertainments and adrenaline rides: in this way, parents can make a quick plan of their visit and they’ll don’t miss a thing!

Are there any other ways in which Leolandia offers a more personalised guest experience? We offer Park + Hotel packages for families that want to spend a weekend or a short holiday at the park and a VIP ticket with personal assistance and added services.

Which are your most popular rides/attractions? Vroom, the newest roller coaster in Masha and the Bear’s Area, as it’s been designed and re-engineered to fit small kids from 90 cm, so that they can already try the emotions of a “big” roller coaster; Le Rapide di Leonardo, a hydro lift attraction based on Da Vinci’s projects; PJ Masks live experience, where kids can try their heroes’ moves and meet them; and Favola, an emotional musical about princesses, dragons and brave knights.

Your newest themed area dedicated to Masha e Orso was created in-house. Can you tell me a bit more about the project (from concept to completion)? The new area was fully created by Leolandia team. When the park management and marketing department entrusted this project to the development department, the latter carried out intense research into the property and type of experience the park aimed to offer to all guests (all in close cooperation with the IP owner). In the meantime, dedicated experts designed the spaces and facilities by analysing, with the help of operations departments of the park, the visitors flow. After having created a master plan for the area, the storytelling and having

chosen the attractions to include, the technical stage team proceeded to the execution phase under strict supervision of the IP owner.

How important are IP’s to the success of your park, and parks in general? IPs are really important for Leolandia’s success because small kids can see and meet live their favourite TV heroes, and this matches with the specific pre-school and school target the park refers to. IPs are drivers for families used to seeing cartoons on TV and are looking for a new way of entertainment with their children favourite characters.

What else is new this season? Bing and Flop experience: you can see a cute mini-show and meet and greet them for a memory picture; La Baia dei Piccoli Surfisti is a new water area where kids can have fun with sprays and slides and parents relax; Masha and the Bear’s show Il circo della foresta, a new funny adventure.

Live shows are a core part of your entertainment offering. What can visitors expect to see and where do you get your inspiration? Shows complete the park experience in a very emotional way. Leolandia offers shows with fairies and wizards, pirates and cowboys, but also laser and bike shows, where music, wonderful dresses, colourful atmosphere, adventure and love stories crown the day at the theme park. The inspiration comes from fairy tales, legends and stories where dreams come true, and all the shows aim to entertain children and adults to make them feel like they were kids again!

You also have a farm, aquarium and reptile house. What can guests see and experience here? At Leolandia you can experience not only the thrill of attractions and cartoon characters, but also go for relaxation in wide green spaces, where you can meet many animals up close. You can make a nature tour where you can meet cows, pigs, hens and all the animals that used to live on farms; you will be immersed in the depths of the Aquarium with 880 fish species from different areas and the bravest ones will enjoy a tour in the Reptile House, a tour among 80 species of snakes, iguanas, spiders and amphibians.

Edutainment seems to be an important part of your offering too. Tell me about Minitalia and the thinking behind it? Minitalia is a realistic miniature Italy with two itineraries and 160 monuments and natural spots such as mountains and lakes. With no architectural barriers, it hosts 16 talking statues of the main figures in Italian history, who speak about their lives and the peculiar features of their city of origin. Furthermore, there is a replica of the Italian railway network and operating trains.
