In keeping with the theme of time, the Tik Tak ride has been designed with a time machine in mind. Guests take charge of gears and levers on a ride through time and space. Large clockwork elements and hourglasses guarantee a dizzying trip, as riders are sent spinning vertically and horizontally, exposed to an impact of 4G. Tik Tak replaces Snorretoppen, a Huss Breakdance,

with both rides sharing a similar footprint and movement set. “Tik Tak is a pleasure both to ride and watch, for tweens, teens, and thrill seekers,” said Will Gurley, Tivoli designer. “It’s not our craziest of attractions but those who

brave to get on-board are sure to be in for a good time.” The product of three years of development and a

NOK 30m investment, Tik Tak blends the park’s classic nostalgia and a forward-thinking approach, taking inspiration from the idea of exploration through the world, science, and time. Eagle-eyed riders will be able to spot hidden images from Tivoli’s past in the magic mirrors. Tik Tak’s time-warping design was created in-house

by the Tivoli Creative Development Department, and in direct coordination with Mondial's engineers and fabrication teams. At night, Tik Tak features its own light show, turning the ride into a multi-faceted attraction to help celebrate the anniversary.

Hollywood’s Magic Castle’s IP comes to China

Novaex has obtained an IP licence from Hollywood’s Magic Castle, granting the company permission to use the magic- themed IP in a variety of indoor and outdoor projects, entertainment centres, and hotels in China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Jeson Zheng, CEO of Novaex, and Milt Larsen, founder of the Magic Castle, attended the signing ceremony that took place in Beijing, marking the first time that The Hollywood Magic Castle has licensed its property in any country outside the USA.

Novaex will first develop a Magic Castle project for its offline Internet community brand, The Circle, which brings together a five-star hotel resort, recreation and shopping, and VR, AR, MR, and 3D hologram projections. Additionally, Novaex plan to build a Magic School for children and teens under the MCI banner. “We are looking forward to the creation of this first project together with

NOVAEX that will showcase the over 55-year legacy of The Magic Castle and the long history of magic in China,” said Milt Larsen at the launch event.

Tivoli’s 175th anniversary celebrates the park’s history and unique take on a traditional theme park, and is recognised as the place where Hans Christian Andersen found his inspiration for The Nightingale and where Walt Disney explored the gardens, architecture, rides and entertainment before opening his own park in Anaheim, California. The largest parade in the park’s history will take place during the celebration, with Walt Disney World Resort contributing to the festivities by designing a float inspired by the “It’s a small world” ride. The float, named “Friendship Garden in Denmark”, and featuring characters from Disney’s own universe, celebrates the long-standing friendship between the two parks.
