Company Profile
What makes your company stand out from the crowd? Chance Rides has a long history of quality manufacturing, we have trains that have been in operation for over 40 years in some locations. And our diverse product line helps us to serve our customers well with many of their needs.
How do you go above and beyond for each and every client? The company philosophy is “If we can help our customers be successful then we will be successful.” This theory has been handed down through the Chance generations and helps us all keep our ultimate goal in mind. We always have Chance employees on site when new rides are installed, we continue to service customers with parts and service throughout the life of the ride and we are always working on the next thing knowing that is what keeps guests returning to the attractions that we serve.
What would you say is the strongest element of your company and why? I believe the company’s biggest strength is our overall attention to detail. Many of our ride elements are still made by hand and the craftsmen that work here take great pride in making sure that our products look and operate exactly as they should. Most of our projects are customized to the customers’ requests and we do everything we can to ensure that the final project matches what they have envisioned.
What are some of the biggest challenges the company has faced? The challenges for our company arise from addressing changes in the industry. In the past it was possible to develop 1 ride and build 20 or 30 identical rides to sell to our customers. These days that just doesn’t happen between the need for customization and the costs involved with adding new products to our offering, we have had to realign our strategies and make sure that we are addressing what can best impact our industry. We know that new rides bring guests back to parks and carnivals and we aim to deliver, sometimes that is making a classic new again and other times that is developing completely new technology and action. We currently have a good mix of both and continue to work on what will be new next.
