The Shining to debut at Halloween Horror Nights

Schlitterbahn opens Padre Plunge


Schlitterbahn, Corpus Christi is welcoming a new ride this season called Padre Plunge, whose name is a tribute to the North Padre Island located in Corpus Christi. Padre Plunge starts with a boat seating up


to 15 guests chugging up a long incline, a soft wide turn, a pause, and then a swift drop and a soaking. The boats are all equipped with sensors that detect where it is at all times, a useful feature for the manually operated ride. Guests will climb to 49 feet before crashing down and soaking any onlookers within the 20 feet splash zone.


Empire Industries reports US$ 120 million order


Empire Industries Ltd. has received a USD$ 120 million, multi-year, multi-theme park ride series of contracts with one of the leading, global theme park owners. These contracts will largely be executed over the next four years from the company’s Vancouver-based design and manufacturing facilities as well as their Attractions Development Center. “Our strategy continues to focus on building the creative and technical
