Merkur Group fi nalises acquisition of Gaming Arts
In May of this year, Merkur Group was granted a licence to manufacture and distribute Merkur products in the state of Nevada. At the same time, the Nevada Gaming Commission approved the acquisition of Gaming Arts, LLC, a Las Vegas-based gaming technology provider. This transaction was successfully completed on 15 September.
“The acquisition is a key element of our re-entry strategy into the U.S. market, one of the most respected and strictly regulated gaming markets worldwide. With Gaming Arts, we are now able to place Merkur products directly in a wide range of U.S. jurisdictions. This marks an important step in expanding our international growth beyond European borders,” said
Dominik Raasch, Management Board Member, Merkur Games.
Gaming Arts is recognised as a
pioneer in technological innovation in the U.S. gaming market. Its current 68-member team develops slot machines, games, bingo and keno solutions, as well as electronic table games, with a clear focus on the requirements and preferences of the U.S. market. As part of the acquisition, the portfolio will be expanded to include Merkur cabinets, highlighted by the recent U.S. launch of the Mod Ex family paired with Gaming Arts game content.

Siddharth Dixit joins evoke Group Exec Committee
Evoke plc, one of the world’s leading betting and gaming companies with internationally renowned brands including William Hill, 888, and Mr. Green, has announced the appointment of Siddharth Dixit as chief strategy and transformation offi cer and as a member of the Group’s Executive Committee. Reporting to the CEO, Per Widerström, Siddharth will be responsible for corporate strategy, M&A and business
development, amongst other things.
Dixit brings over 15 years of experience in corporate strategy, business development
and transformation. He joins evoke from Virgin Media O2, where he led on the development and execution of the Company’s growth strategy. Prior to his time at Virgin Media O2, Siddharth held senior roles in a number of leading international organisations including Deliveroo, Anheuser-Busch, The Economist, Boston Consulting Group, Accenture and Deloitte.
