CEO INTERVIEW – DUNCAN FAITHFULL Duncan Faithfull
Matt Broughton spoke with Quixant’s CEO, Duncan Faithfull, about his background, the year so far, and what still lies ahead for the company in 2026 and beyond.
Matt: Duncan, for those not in the know, could you tell us a little about your industry background and how you came to be in your position today? Duncan: I have spent around 30 years in senior commercial leadership roles across several sectors, including fi nance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals. I joined Quixant in early 2020 to lead commercial strategy and enhance the customer journey, before moving into the role of Group CEO at Nexteq plc, Quixant’s parent company. This transition aligned with Nexteq’s growth ambitions, where the focus is on scaling IP-based revenues and diversifying our customer base as part of the three-year plan to 2027. Matt: Please could you talk about the year so far for Quixant; what have been the big ‘moments’ for the company in 2025? Duncan: 2025 has been a strong year for Quixant, marked by several milestones that reinforce our strategy to expand within the gaming market, enabling broader customer reach, and delivering tools and partnerships customers need to get ahead of the game. Key moments include: • At ICE Barcelona 2025 we saw record attendance and strong engagement from businesses in Spain, Latin America, and other EMEA regions, refl ecting growing confi dence in those markets. Quixant’s presence there boosted conversations around regulation changes (notably in Brazil) and opportunities.
• In H1 2025, Quixant shipped 22,000 hardware platforms, up ~7% from H1 2024, showing growth in volume and market diversifi cation.
• Our attendance at GAMOA and OIGA enabled us to further our engagements with tribal and route market operators in North America. These events highlighted the relevancy of our IQ Connect solution - our tailor-made Jamma solution - as well as the fl exibility and breadth of our wider product range, from IQ through to QMAX, in meeting diverse market needs.
• We recently secured our fi rst mass production purchase order for Brazil from a Brazilian state video lottery operator, a telling proof point that our engineering, market readiness, and partnerships are working.
• Internally, we have been focusing not just on 10 OCTOBER 2025
technology development but building the structures to support customer, such as managing supply chain challenges, and preparing for scale and an expanded global reach.
The progress across these wins and preparatory work means we are well-positioned for the second half of the year and into FY26.
Matt: What products are you focused on right now?
Duncan: At Quixant, we’re focused on innovations that directly help our customers meet their evolving hardware and software needs. Game development is increasingly complex, and we partner closely with customers to provide the performance, fl exibility, and support they need to overcome these challenges and accelerate delivery.
As we approach G2E, we are putting the spotlight on our hardware, and we are debuting the brand-new IQON 3, a platform built on DDR5 technology that gives customers the headroom to design more ambitious games with greater reliability and performance. Alongside IQON 3, we are evolving the QMAX custom range, giving our customers access to customised hardware solutions who need unique confi gurations that align perfectly with their vision.
We are also enhancing the IQ range with the evolution of IQ 2, delivering performance and
value for customers who need robust, cost- effective solutions. The IQ 2 is now available with both DDR4 and DDR5 options, and increased I/O options, with up to 26/32. With IQ, IQON, and QMAX, Quixant offers a complete range of hardware platforms designed to meet the needs of every market and budget.
Combined, these advances show how we are not just delivering products but building the foundations that enable our customers to innovate faster and with greater confi dence. And while hardware is in the spotlight at G2E, we are equally focused on enhancing our software solutions - ensuring our customers have the complete toolkit they need to stay ahead of the game.
You will fi nd us at Booth 2640.
Matt: Was there an overarching goal that directed 2025? Duncan: For Quixant, the overarching goal in 2025 has been to expand further within key sub-segments of the gaming market. By broadening our reach, we aim to enable a wider range of customers to benefi t from our technology and expertise. At the heart of this strategy is a commitment to giving our customers all of the tools they need to get ahead of the game - whether through powerful, future-ready hardware platforms, fl exible software solutions, or tailored custom developments.
