PATRICK DUMONT BECOMES SANDS CHINA’S NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Sands China has appointed Patrick Sydney Dumont as a non-executive director of the company that holds a Macau gaming concession through its subsidiary, Venetian Macau S.A., with effect from 8 August. The announcement, made in a fi ling to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, states that Dumont, 51, will serve in the role with no fi xed term of appointment. He is set to replace the retiring Robert Goldstein as chairman and chief executive offi cer of Las Vegas Sands (LVS) – the parent company of Sands China – in March 2026. Dumont has been president, chief operating offi cer and treasurer of Las Vegas Sands Corp. since January 2021, and a director of LVS since April 2017.
Since December 2023, he has also served as governor of the NBA professional basketball team, the Dallas Mavericks.
Dumont is married to Sivan Ochshorn, whose mother, Miriam Adelson, co-founded LVS alongside her late husband, Sheldon Adelson.
PARADISE ENTERTAINMENT’S EBITDA JUMPS 43 PCT IN FIRST HALF Paradise Entertainment has reported revenue of HK$507.9 million (US$65 million/MOP522 million) for the fi rst half of the year, up by 19.44 per cent from the same period a year earlier. Accoridng unaudited fi ling to Hong Kong’s stock exchange, the profi t for that period stood at HK$177.78 million, versus HK$119.4 million in the prior-year period. The H1 2025 fi gure was up 48.9 per cent over that period. Casino Kam Pek Paradise — a satellite casino slated for closure before the end of the year — generated HK$382.6 million revenue in the fi rst half, up from HK$356.5 million a year earlier. Meanwhile, adjusted EBITDA for the six months ending June climbed 43.4 per cent year on year. The provider of live multi-game terminals logged a 52 percent rise in combined income, which was some HK$174.5 million between January and June this year.
As of June, Paradise Entertainment owned total equity of HK$590.5 million – versus HK$540 million previously.
M PLUS ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE BROADCAST RIGHTS IN MACAU FOR MAIN ENGLISH FOOTBALL COMPETITIONS M Plus Sports Media Company Limited has announced a signifi cant expansion in its sports broadcasting portfolio, securing exclusive rights to air the Premier League and the FA Cup in Macau for the 2025/2026 to 2027/2028 seasons.
In a strategic move aimed at enhancing the viewing experience for local football fans, M Plus Sports has partnered with Macau Cable Television.
This collaboration will ensure that audiences in Macau have access to top-tier football competitions, including live broadcasts of Premier League and FA Cup matches via the M Plus app. As the sole provider of live sports streaming in Macau, M Plus Sports stated that it is committed to ‘driving technological innovation and expanding its offerings to include more premier international sports events, aiming to deliver immersive viewing experiences for its audience’. Apart from the Premier League and FA Cup, the company also broadcasts Italian Serie A, Spain’s La Liga, Australia’s A-League, the Korean K League, and other sports events.
