The Brazilian Ministry of Finance and Sportradar have joined forces to strengthen the integrity of Sports

The Brazilian Ministry of Finance, through the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, and Sportradar Group AG have signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement to collaborate activities focused on safeguarding the integrity of the newly regulated sports betting and online gaming region. The ACT aims to support the technical staff of the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, given their responsibility at the national level to coordinate the authorization, inspection and sanctioning process of operators that provide online games and sports betting.

Sportradar’s Integrity Services will offer its expertise to the Secretariat, including reporting any suspicious incidents it may identify through its monitoring of the market, as well as providing strategic counsel to address these situations. Additionally, Sportradar will support the ongoing education and training of Secretariat staff on the

threat of match-fixing, to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the issue. Ministry of Finance spokesperson responsible for the partnership, Régis Dudena, Secretary of Prizes and Betting, said: “The partnership with Sportradar will be an important tool to combat a major threat to the fixed-odds betting market, which is the risk of manipulation of sports results.” Felippe Marchetti, Sportradar’s Manager for Integrity Partnerships in Brazil, said: “The signing of the ACT is a proud occasion for Sportradar and we appreciate the trust shown by the Brazilian Ministry of Finance in the expertise of Sportradar’s Integrity Services division. This ACT reflects a mutual commitment to establish a sustainable, regulated sports betting industry in Brazil that is built upon a foundation of integrity.”

ICE World Gaming Forum has announced the former President of Mexico as a keynote speaker

The ICE World Gaming Forum, scheduled for January 20-22, 2025, at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, has announced that Vicente Fox, the 62nd President of Mexico, will be a keynote speaker. Fox will headline the World Regulatory Briefing on January 20, addressing the topic of ‘Regulation and Revitalisation’ and the requirements needed to balance economic growth with community protection. As a critic of populist movements in the region, Fox will share insights into the opportunities available for operators in Mexico. Nadine Dereza, an international broadcaster and Chair of the 2025 ICE World Gaming Forum, emphasised Fox’s significant contributions, saying “As the President responsible for rationalising Mexico’s complex gambling framework in the early 2000s, Vicente Fox paved the way for easier gaming legalisation,

going on to grant the overwhelming majority of the current 763 licences in the market. “The former President has previously gone on the record as favouring casinos as a tax benefit to reduce Mexico’s dependence on unpredictable oil income, and for growing the local tourism industry, while emphasising the

need to ensure they operate in a controlled and supervised manner”

Also providing insight to the dynamics of the market, Clarion Gaming Senior Conference Producer Damien-Ashton-Wellman added: “With online sports betting predicted to be worth $1.24bn this year alone, and with a projected annual growth rate of 8.45% by 2029, Mexico is one of the hottest markets in Latin America after Brazil.

“The latest election has put it front and centre of the gaming industry after the country’s Supreme Court ruled that the outgoing President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s ban on slot machines was unconstitutional. This landmark ruling not only challenges the existing restrictions on slot machines but also opens the door for the introduction of roulette and dice games in Mexican casinos.

“President Fox’s attendance at ICE adds to the event’s industry-defining reputation for bringing together key-decision makers and for providing a gateway to Latin America. He will also participate in an exclusive invite-only roundtable meeting of iGB Executive, Clarion Gaming’s new annual C-level membership community.”

QTech Games has partnered with SpinLogic Gaming on a content offering

Game distributor QTech Games has announced a new partnership with SpinLogic Gaming, a rebranded division of Realtime Gaming that will be focused on newly-regulating markets.

SpinLogic Gaming has developed several popular titles in the past, including the recently released Magic Forest: Spellbound and Mega Monster. This new partnership will grant QTech Games clients access to SpinLogic Gaming’s extensive content suite, which also includes a wide range of slots, card and table games, as well as video poker.

The agreement will also expand SpinLogic Gaming’s reach, helping them to target growth markets in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. By integrating SpinLogic Gaming’s offerings, QTech Games’ partners will also benefit from additional built-in bonuses, designed to boost player engagement and retention in a competitive landscape.

“We’re delighted to have partnered up with SpinLogic Gaming, whose visually stunning and varied games invariably hit the mark. We will keep adding premium content to QTech Games’ premier platform, coupled to our market-leading tech which is accelerating growth from Africa to Asia and other budding markets. Needless to say, this SpinLogic Gaming agreement provides another eloquent case in point.” said Philip Doftvik, CEO at QTech Games.

“We look forward to seeing how their games perform across a range of regions which, in some cases, break new ground for them. QTech Games’ proprietary technology means we’re the only distributor that is not just delivering fantastic games but also adding engaging in-game features and tools which are constantly being upgraded and refined. It’s helped us carve out a unique position in the aggregation space at a time when many others are struggling to adapt and differentiate in a changing landscape.”
