Editor’s comment
Well, it was a good run folks, but I think I’m back to talking to myself (and I don’t just mean in the bedroom). We had built up to a staggering five readers prepared to interact with me via my “Editor’s Welcome” page (and yes, I’m counting both the magazine’s boss and our lovely designer) but now it’s very much tapered off to a solid zero. Nil. Nada. Nonce. Maybe you’re out there, maybe you’re not. I guess I’ll just have to make peace with the potential indifference of the universe and move on. As my therapist often says, “Everyone hates you, Matt; you’re worthless. Get out of my office.” I am starting to wonder if 1) I need a new therapist and 2) my current therapist might not be an actual therapist. Anyway, I can take a hint. Instead of namechecking potentially fictional readers (I think my mum might have sent in some of the previous correspondence) I shall instead do that thing where I tell you how excited I am to be here and then talk you through the issue page by page like a
zoo guide praying the elephants are visible and the monkeys don’t do that thing they sometimes do when people are watching. So… this month you can look forward to tons of tip top content as usual, including news and views from all our regional experts, a juicy cover story from Everi, our very own LATAM expert Ricki rolling in with some very senior (señor) interviews (see what I did there!) as well as a round-up of action from G2E. I have to admit I didn’t use any A.I. this month, but I did use lots of stock photography that you’ve seen at least three times already this year. I just like to keep you up to date.
