Hello and welcome to yet another issue of Casino International! So then, ICE… it was great wasn’t it! I won’t lie, as someone living about 25 minutes from ExCeL I was
fairly gutted to find out it was moving to Barcelona, but even I found it hard to moan about the event – it was excellent. As with any convention, it took a little while to be able to confidently move from hall to hall and find the desired booth, but I thought the layout, the space, the facilities… well, it was all fab wasn’t it. We recap many of the attending companies this issue, so if you were unfortunate enough to miss the show, be sure to check that feature out. As is traditional, you’ll also find my own ICE photo diary in the mix. It’s brilliant and hilarious this year (I know, because my mum told me I was very clever and gave me a Twix as she showed me to the front door). Elsewhere this issue we catch up with ZITRO’s founder, Johnny
Ortiz, as well as bring you a report from the European Casino Awards that took place during ICE from a rather swanky location (that was, thankfully, only a few minutes from the convention centre!) Beyond that you can expect to hear from all our local experts as we report on all the action from LATAM, North America, Africa and Macau.
iGaming also featured massively at ICE, so you can follow that side of the industry in the GIO pages – but I’ll leave Neil to intro that. Massive thanks to all the companies and individuals who offered us their hospitality at the show. These events can be a hard slog, so the occasional chance to sit down, grab a beer or water and a hot Austrian sausage makes all the difference! Enjoy the issue.
