Gaming For Africa

Casino International’s Africa partner is the excellent Gaming For Africa magazine, bringing you the continent’s latest developments

First Gaming Africa a resounding success

L

ate October saw the inaugural Gaming Africa event, Clarion’s first major foray into a continent-relevant gaming show, alongside the excellent Gaming For Africa magazine. The result was certainly a

success, with a great mix of speakers and attendees. The show was well populated on the regulatory side too, which is certainly promising, and has us already looking forward to the 2018 iteration. Gaming Africa featured learning modules covering the economy, payment methods, social responsibility, anti-money laundering, investment, public relations, regional roundtables and two master classes from the Totally Gaming Academy, entitled ‘Casino Marketing Academy’ and ‘Online Sports Betting Master Class’. Gaming Africa has raised the bar in terms of delivering an event dedicated to meet the specific gaming needs of the continent. A continental show is precisely what African gaming requires, and could even act as a push for unregulated gaming territories to step forward into a regulated gaming environment. An event like this can help dispel negativity about our industry, promote education and shared best practise, and move everyone toward an even brighter future. ICE 2018 attendees are being invited to an Africa

reception at London’s ExCeL in the Pyramid Bar on February 6th from 6pm to 7:30pm where details of October 2018’s ICE Africa will be announced.

Attendees, speakers and organisers found much to smile about at the education-oriented Gaming Africa event
