GOODBYE 2017…
Gavin Hamilton Managing Director, Red Tiger Gaming
What were the biggest events for you in 2017? 2017 was a very busy year for Red Tiger. We integrated with some of the biggest operators in the industry, we rolled our industry-first Daily Jackpots, released our Smart Spins bonus engine, launched our first omni- channel game with Coral, we went on TV with Paddy Power and William Hill and we even picked up a couple of awards along the way. We also found time to open two new offices to cope with our ever-expanding headcount.
What do you think was the most important occurrence for the industry in 2017? For us, 2017 will be remembered as the “year of the customer”. This has been shaped by both push and pull factors: increased regulation and enforcement has forced operators to think seriously about how they treat their customers fairly; but also the competitive landscape has become more
intense so operators are more focused than ever on the broader customer experience as a means of creating competitive advantage. From a Red Tiger
perspective, this has meant building deeper partnerships with our clients to deliver a fully immersive customer experience, for example, our work with William Hill to deliver their new “Vegas Daily Drop” jackpots proposition through the line from TV into the actual gameplay.
What are you most excited about for the industry in 2018? Arguably the conditions have never been more ripe for innovation and disruption in the online casino market. The old days of ‘’burning and churning” new customers through high-wagering acquisition offers are gone, which represents a fundamental shift in

What were the biggest launches for you in 2017? It has been an incredible year for Authentic Gaming. Over the past 12 months we have joined forces with more premium land-based casinos, allowing us to stream from more tables than ever before. We have also added new products to our portfolio, and integrated with several tier one operators. In terms of new products, we launched Authentic Live! Entertainment, which allows land- based operators to stream live
performances to online players while they wager. In addition, we have recently pulled back the curtain on Casino Floor Live Roulette – dedicated live dealer tables located at the heart of the gaming floor. When it comes to partnerships, we have just signed an agreement
with Royal Casino in Denmark to stream live from their gaming floor. The tables can be accessed by players visiting their online casino, as well as those accessing other sites on our B2B network; which now includes all of the Kindred Group brands.
What do you think was the most important occurrence for the industry in 2017? Columbia’s decision to clamp down on illegal land-based and online gambling activity in a bid to drive operators towards applying for a licence in the country is significant. We believe it could kick-start a wave of other Latin American countries doing likewise. LatAm is a huge market that can only be unlocked by regulation. On another note, GDPR will have a huge impact on the entire gambling industry, but particularly the way operators and affiliates work

the industry business model. We expect to see new, creative and more customer-centric approaches to acquiring and retaining customers. We are excited to be part of helping to shape this change through innovations like our Smart Spins tools but we are also excited to see what other new innovations will emerge.
What are you most excited about for yourselves in 2018? 2018 is shaping up to be a transformational year for Red Tiger. We have agreed a lot of exciting new deals with operators which will take our games into new regulated markets such as Italy, Spain and Denmark, which is a key milestone in our plans to be a truly global gaming business. The stuff we are most excited about, however, we cannot talk about yet, so watch this space!
together. I believe this will result in a dip in players coming through affiliates, which in turn will lead to a fall in revenues from operators. Over time, they will figure things out and normal service will resume. I also believe the momentum building behind cryptocurrencies, and
particularly BitCoin, is significant, and that regulation is very much on the horizon.
What are you most excited about for 2018? The continued rise of the live casino vertical, with operators really focusing on the product and taking it to the next level for their players. I am also excited by growth prospects in markets such as Portugal, Lithuania and Columbia, where live casino is set to be approved for the first time. I also believe the new licencing framework from the Malta Gaming Authority will be a major boom for operators and suppliers. It should significantly reduce the time to market for suppliers launching with operators running on one of their licences.
What are you most excited about for your company in 2018? We are putting the finishing touches to a brand new, state-of-the-art live dealer studio, the Grand Studio. It will feature innovative technologies and a never-seen-before configuration of tables, dealers and hosts. It’s going to change the game for live casino – so watch this space. In addition, we will be launching more table with prestigious land-
based casino operators from around the world, including some in the USA. We are also developing a revolutionary bonus system for live casino.
Anything else you’d like to say about the passing of 2017 and 2018’s arrival?
Authentic Gaming has brought innovation to the live casino vertical throughout the year, and we will continue to move the needle in 2018. We will focus on existing and emerging trends to ensure we can offer our partners – and their players – the most engaging and authentic live casino experience on the market.
