BEST OF BRITISH

BEST OF BRITISH

Celebrating the best of British in 2024! R

egular BKU readers will know that we like to stop at this time of year, make a pot of tea, enjoy a little sunshine, and create a Best of British supplement to celebrate all that’s great about British manufacturing and design in our glorious sector!

Britain has a long and proud heritage of manufacturing and design excellence, with numerous homegrown companies historically innovating and producing, in some instances for many decades.

With that in mind, please take a moment to peruse just some of the British companies we’ve chosen to shine a light on, all doing amazing work in the kitchen and bathroom sector. Manufacturers, distributors, and designers all deserve their moment in the sun (or rain - it is Best of British after all!) so grab a hot crumpet and settle in for a celebration.

Our first company under the Best of British microscope is TYDE (part of the Thomas Dudley Group). These guys have over a century of experience manufacturing and distributing world leading plumbing products in very challenging market sectors across multiple continents. They are committed to manufacturing in the UK, with state-of-the-art facilities in the

West Midlands that are home to around 500 technical, engineering and customer service specialists.

TYDE’s difference depends on the diverse, engaged, passionate, and experienced people who create their products and serve their customers. They have developed a proven ability to solve customer problems, and whether a customer is looking to overcome a challenge associated with an application, product or service, TYDE can work with you to provide the perfect solution.

Next in our celebration is Kudos, who have - for over 20 years - been designing and manufacturing innovative showering products from their enclosure factory in the beautiful Lake District. During this time, they’ve built a reputation for producing innovative, precision engineered luxury shower doors, enclosures and trays that represent excellent value for money. With complete control over the components and manufacturing process, Kudos can maintain the highest standards of quality and performance of all products that leave their premises. Each one is made to deliver the very best in functionality, performance and value.

Kudos Shower Products is also an equal opportunities employer and is committed to

ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of their business. Next we come to The Decorative Panels

Group, a company steeped in history, dating back to 1907 when the family were local cabinetmakers. Today, Decorative Panels is still privately owned and managed by the third generation of the same family. They are hugely proud to be Europe’s leading supplier of decorative faced sheet materials, panel components and flat pack furniture. The Group combines three divisions; Decorative Panels Lamination, Decorative Panels Components and Decorative Panels Furniture, and their vertically integrated companies supply the most prominent names in the furniture industry. Now we come to Waterline and Crown

Imperial, Britain’s leading furniture manufacturer. These guys have been pioneering British kitchen manufacturing for over 75 years. With a focus on quality and a partnership with British kitchen specialists, they continue to set the standard for our industry. With over £7 million of stock spread over three warehouses, Waterline offers every product anyone could ever need to install a kitchen. Sourced from one company, covered on one invoice, delivered on one truck, allowing customers to focus on what matters.
