Focus on Sign Fixings

Faster assembly without visible fasteners Eurobond Adhesive

A good sign fixing should do three things well: hold under load, keep the finished face clean, and allow the fabricator to work at commercial speed. That is why more sign makers are moving beyond screws, rivets and welded brackets for everyday assembly work. Mechanical fasteners concentrate force around a hole. Adhesives and tapes spread that force across the bonded area. On channel letters, aluminium returns, ACM panels, trays and locator pads, that wider load path can give a stronger, cleaner fixing while removing drilling, filling and visible heads from the job. Acrylic foam tape is often the fastest route. Eurobond EB6110G Ultra High Strength Acrylic Tape is used for sign channel fixings and built-up letters, with adhesion to metals, composites, plastics, wood and glass. It also offers vibration resistance, useful when signs are handled, transported and then exposed to wind movement after installation. For production teams, this offers immediate handling strength. Apply the tape correctly, bring the parts together under firm pressure, and the assembly can move through the workshop without waiting for a liquid adhesive to cure. For more structural fixing work, Penloc 1:1 Original Pink & Green gives sign makers a fast-curing two-part toughened acrylic adhesive, offering a five minute fast cure time, handling strength in three to five minutes and full strength in approximately one hour.

It bonds a wide range of material combinations and has an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, making it suitable for demanding sign assemblies where strength, speed and service durability all matter. Choosing the right application is straightforward. Use

tape where you need a clean, controlled bond line and rapid throughput. Use structural adhesive where the joint needs gap filling, higher rigidity or a more engineered fixing. Eurobond’s strength is helping fabricators make that choice

correctly, with products already used for channel fixings, built-up letters, stiffener bars, light boxes, monoliths and plastic fabrication.

iSpi Trade

iSpi Trade’s aluminium sign fixings range

Small component, big impact

In the world of signage, first impressions are important. What secures that impression is equally essential. Fixings are no longer a background detail; they help define the finished look, the installation process, and each sign’s long- term performance. Get them right, and the result is seamless. Get them wrong, and even the best design can fall short. This is where iSpi Trade’s expertise in the sign industry

provides quality products at the right price. The company’s specialist range of sign fixings is designed to meet modern demands. It combines strength for durability, precision for secure placement, and visual impact for a polished finish. It offers high-quality aluminium stand-off locators, marine-grade fixings, and Fairfield-style three-part stand-offs. Every product is created to enhance both form and function. For installers, efficiency and confidence on site matter most. Reliable threads, consistent finishes,

and easy installation reduce time and risk. For designers and specifiers, it is about freedom. They want clean lines, minimal fix visibility, and premium aesthetics without compromise. Performance also matters. External signage is exposed to wind, moisture, and temperature fluctuations. iSpi Trade’s sign fixings are specifically designed for these environments, offering rust-resistant materials and high-strength construction to ensure reliable installation and durable performance in real-world use. As the industry becomes more design-led and

detail-oriented, fixings are not an afterthought but a key part of the specification from the outset. Its years of industry experience ensure customers get the right product at the right price. The difference between a good sign and a great sign lies not just in what you see, but in the quality of the components holding it together.
