Extra room for pipework in replacements


New from Hounsfi eld Boilers is the ‘Stand Off ’ external wall-hung boiler, which features a casing that is 50mm deeper than the company’s standard wall-hung model. The extra space will give installers increased fl exibility for pipework when replacing ‘through-the-wall’ style boilers or Thermecon Boilers. MD Andrew Hounsfi eld says: “Many installers have said


that when they remove an old Thermecon boiler, they want to replace it with one of our trusted boilers. What sometimes stops them is the lack of additional space for pipework routing in the standard Hounsfi eld external boiler. PVC and laminated wall panels solution


The new Alveo PVC bathroom wall panels from AKW are designed for quick and easy installation without specialist equipment. Available in 600 and 1,000mm widths, the panels can fi t over existing surfaces like tiles, and their interlocking tongue and groove edges create a seamless look. They also allow for secure attachment of accessories like grab rails. Off ered in white gloss, white marble, concrete matt and dark graphite, the low-maintenance Alveo panels are said to be more hygienic than tiles.
