Solar PV panels provide a boost to peak power

Expanding its SolarTile range, Marley has introduced

the SolarTile 410, a new 410Wp solar panel. This panel offers a higher peak power output compared to the existing 335Wp option, allowing for fewer panels to achieve the desired energy output. The SolarTile 410 is

designed to integrate seamlessly with Marley’s existing concrete and clay tiles, featuring a low-profile design. It is compatible with various batten thicknesses and includes colour-coded flashing kits for ease of installation. The panel boasts ‘exceptional’ fire performance, wind resistance and weather tightness, making it suitable for both new build and retrofit projects. Stuart Nicholson, roof systems director at Marley, comments: “Since

launching with 270Wp and 310Wp solar panels in 2021, Marley has continued to focus on pushing for enhanced solar panel efficiency. Alongside the current 335Wp panel, the new SolarTile 410Wp panel widens specification choice for the market. The SolarTile range integrates with our full roof system, meaning specifiers can also benefit from the reassurance of Marley’s 15-year warranty.” ◼ phamnews.co.uk/924/36

UK heat pump deal

The Vitocal 150-A/151-A air source heat pump range from Viessmann is now available from Secon Renewables, the Sunderland-based renewables distributor to installers and merchants in the UK. The domestic air source

heat pump range comprises the Vitocal 150-A and Vitocal 151-A with integral 190-litre DHW cylinder. With outputs from 4 to 16kW and providing a maximum flow temperature of 70°C, each model has the capacity to provide both heating and cooling and are available to purchase for connection to single-phase electricity supply, with three-phase models also available for the 10 to 16kW variants. They are notable for their environmental credentials using R290 natural propane refrigerant, which is one of the most climate-friendly and cost-effective available, with a Global Warming Potential of only 0.02. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/924/37

Performance in the cold

The new Aquarea M Series range of air source heat pumps from Panasonic feature T-CAP technology for enhanced efficiency and low-GWP R290 refrigerant. Units in the range are available in capacities ranging from 9 to 30kW, with the option of 300kW in cascade configuration. It is designed for individual domestic homes, multifamily or light commercial buildings. The T-CAP technology enables the unit to operate efficiently in outdoor

temperatures as low as -15°C without a backup heater. One T-CAP unit can provide the same capacity at low temperatures as two other units without T-CAP technology, reducing material and installation costs and saving space. The Series offers flexibility with options for remote control only or a

control module for enhanced functionality. The Big Aquarea includes Wi-Fi connectivity for Aquarea Smart Cloud and Aquarea Service Cloud, multiple PCB features, demand control SG Ready, and cascade control with BMS protocol options. Designed for faster and easier installation, the heat pump benefits from

a space-saving design. It is said to deliver exceptional performance with minimal noise, ensuring maximum comfort. ◼ phamnews.co.uk/924/38
