A year of fundraising for Macmillan


KBB distributor PJH has completed a 12-month fundraising campaign for Macmillan Cancer Support, raising £21,531. Initially aiming for £10,000, PJH pledged to match the amount raised by staff, who enthusiastically participated in various events and challenges across the UK, exceeding expectations by raising £11,531. “Macmillan Cancer Support is such an amazing organisation that makes a huge difference to the lives of millions of people affected by cancer, so are we are delighted to be presenting this cheque to the charity,” says PJH’s chief financial officer Jason Shaw (pictured, left, presenting the cheque to Philip Shuttleworth from Macmillan).


Annual conference and charity dinner


The Ground Source Heat Pump Association (GSHPA) is hosting its Annual Conference 2024 on 27th September at The National Conference Centre in Solihull. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from expert speakers, participate in informative sessions, and network with peers. Topics will include advancements in heat pump technology, sustainability practices, and market trends, providing valuable insights for professionals seeking to stay at the forefront of the industry. Confirmed speakers include Will Rivers from


the Carbon Trust and Ed Sherriff from the Welsh government, along with representatives from the


Environment Agency and the Coal Authority. With more speakers to be announced, the conference promises a comprehensive overview of the current state and future prospects of the ground source heat pump industry.


Concluding the conference day is the GSHPA’s Charity Dinner, an elegant event with a James Bond theme, to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. The dinner will be hosted by comedian and MC Colin Manford, featuring a gourmet meal, entertainment, and the chance to participate in a silent auction.
