Shower works with waste water recovery


Designed to reduce energy and water waste, the new Mira Advance Heatloop is the fi rst electric shower to be designed to work with Recoup waste water heat recovery for shower systems (WWHRS). When the shower is installed in conjunction with a Recoup Pipe Hex system, the company claims that average annual savings of up to 40% can be achieved – saving around £135 per year per household. While conventional electric showers are not able


to adjust to changes to elevated incoming water conditions, making them unsuitable for installation with WWHRS, the Mira Advance Heatloop features intelligent monitoring which automatically adjusts power based on the incoming conditions. Safely recycling the energy from WWHRS, the shower adapts to fl uctuations in temperature and fl ow, so users enjoy consistent performance and temperatures, with no sudden cold or scalding blasts. The Mira Advance Heatloop technology combined


with a waste water heat recovery system works particularly well in the cooler months. Compensating for any winter fl uctuations in fl ow, the shower ensures around 35% better performance in winter, compared to conventional electric showers, and a maintained performance throughout the year.

Bespoke hot water cylinder specialist, Newark Cylinders, has launched the Heat Geek Mini Store – a range of compact, space saving units designed by the heating experts at Heat Geek. Operating with fl ow temperatures as low as 40°C and boasting fast recharge times, the Mini Stores off er heat pump users a viable hot water storage solution when there is no room for a standard cylinder.
