TD Synnex sustainability ecosystem provides a platform for UK&I partners to advance NZC plans
TD SYNNEX is launching a sustainability ecosystem that will bring UK and Ireland partners together to learn how they can reduce their carbon footprint and develop and deliver solutions and services that will help their customers to move towards their own net zero carbon (NZC) goals.
As well as giving partners the opportunity to hear from leading IT industry innovators on sustainability, these gatherings will act as knowledge development and networking events for partners that have complementary solutions or services and access to markets. As part of the initiative, TD Synnex has created a sustainability workshop framework, which can be delivered to groups of partners. This is designed to help partners reflect on the key issues around sustainability and how they can take measures to drive down their carbon impact and help customers do the same. The TD Synnex sustainability ecosystem will be formally launched at an invitation-only event, with open meetings being scheduled for all interested partners at a later stage. The TD Synnex sustainability workshops can be organised by arrangement with the ecosystems team. Partners that subsequently want to conduct their own full assessment can make use of the NZC consultancy service offered by TD Synnex in partnership with specialist consultancy, Arete Zero Carbon. This assesses a partner’s own emissions (Scope 1 and 2), and that of their supply chain (Scope 3) and provides a plan detailing practical and actionable strategies to help the partner achieve net zero carbon emissions. TD Synnex already has ecosystems programmes operating successfully in the UK for manufacturing, healthcare and for retail and distribution.

Sharp and ConnectWise
announce strategic collaboration SHARP IMAGING and Information Company of America and ConnectWise have formed a strategic collaboration to deliver upon their shared vision of providing secure and efficient managed services through their channel partner networks. The first deliverable is a managed print security service that offers visibility into print security for Sharp devices. Today, multifunction products (MFPs) and printers are integral parts of an organisation’s document workflows and business processes. As such, they also need to be integrated into the organisation’s security posture. Sharp addresses these concerns at a device level by providing a suite of integrated security features. Meanwhile, many customers rely upon their IT service providers for broad IT system threat detection, often powered by ConnectWise security information and event management (SIEM), which centralises threat visibility and analysis. The new print security service for Sharp MFPs and printers will elevate print security event management to be a full partner in the IT stack, as it captures and analyses a comprehensive range of event logs, and alerts customers to potential threats using ConnectWise SIEM, which will be monitored 24/7 by ConnectWise’s security operations centre.
This information will then be collected and analysed against an entire ecosystem of threat intelligence feeds, providing clear and concise security risk feedback and event notification to Sharp channel partners. The Sharp channel partners will then be able to provide customers with timely notification and mitigation of potential security risks. This new service answers the growing demand within the office technology dealer community for ways to bridge their print and managed services offerings, while also allowing dealers that already offer managed security services to provide greater endpoint coverage and a more complete security solution for their customers.
