Malwarebytes on expanding its partnership with Climb Channel Solutions

Paul Sexton, channel manager UK&I at Malwarebytes explains what Malwarebytes and Climb Channel Solutions are up to.

Can you tell us a little about yourself? I get to work with partners to sell our all-in-one endpoint security portfolio. I have 15 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry, helping partners become the trusted security advisors for their customers. Previously, I worked in the Intrusion Detection Systems and Identity & Access Management markets before joining Malwarebytes to focus on streamlining cybersecurity for end-users. There is so much FUD and complexity in the market. I’m on a mission to help my partners understand what their customers truly need to strengthen their cybersecurity posture now and in the future.

“The

network of resellers and commitment to customer satisfaction, we are confident that this partnership will be a success. We also appreciate their local market knowledge and insight and will continuously tailor our support of the UK channel and customers with Climb’s guidance.

What’s new for Malwarebytes/Climb Channel Solutions? We are excited about our new distribution agreement with Climb Channel Solutions UK. This partnership will allow us to expand our reach and provide our cybersecurity solutions to even more customers in the UK and Ireland. In the last 6-12 months, Malwarebytes added DNS filtering, application block, mobile security, cloud storage scanning and vulnerability and patch management modules to our core platform and launched Malwarebytes Managed Detection and Response. Climb can distribute our entire business solutions portfolio to its partners, giving them the tools to tailor the right product and service mix for each of their customers.

constantly evolving, and it is important for VARs to stay on top of the latest trends and technologies.”

What does this mean for VARs? When it comes to ransomware, the UK was the second most attacked country in the world. The education sector was an outsized target for the Vice Society ransomware gang and was hit harder than in any other country. Organisations need to prioritise cybersecurity, and this creates a huge opportunity for VARs. Malwarebytes’ cybersecurity solutions are focused on

simplifying and streamlining cybersecurity. We provide enterprise-grade protection but without the complex deployment, interface and packaging of many other providers. Together with Climb, we can help VARs create a compelling and profitable offering for

their customers.

Why have you expanded your partnership with Malwarebytes/Climb Channel Solutions? Malwarebytes is focused on building the platform of the future to take the complexity out of IT. Climb has the local reach and knowledge that is invaluable to us as we think about our mission of serving the resource-constrained teams of the UK and Ireland. With their extensive

How is the future evolving and how can VARs take advantage? The cybersecurity landscape is constantly evolving, and it is important for VARs to stay on top of the latest trends and technologies. At Malwarebytes, we are committed to providing our partners with the tools and resources they need to succeed in this rapidly changing industry. Recent research by Malwarebytes Labs revealed that the UK is the 2nd most attacked country in the world for Ransomware (behind the USA). Royal Mail was asked for a whopping $80 million ransom after their breach earlier this year, which is the highest ransom request to date. With money to be made and poor security in place to prevent and/or mitigate these attacks, the frequency and sophistication of these threats is only going to increase in the second half of 2023 and beyond.
