News New chairman appointed to leading Yorkshire tech business


INTELLIGENT SERVERS, an established and fast- growing IT Enterprise hardware and solutions supplier based in Harrogate has received an investment from Ryan McCarry who joins as chairman and director. Mr McCarry will play a vital role in the company’s strategic development and accelerated growth. Intelligent Servers is a specialist sustainable tech business, buying and selling refurbished Enterprise IT Solutions to a broad range of businesses in the UK and abroad. Mr McCarry brings a wealth of experience in the IT industry and leadership roles with strong buy and build growth credentials. Founder of Sleek Networks, a data centre and cloud service provider which was acquired in 2013 is now part of US giant, Rackspace. He went on to become the investor and chairman of Concepta Capital, a managed data and cloud service provider that made multiple IT acquisitions before itself being acquired by Iomart for £16m in 2022. Andy Hughes, founder and CEO of Intelligent Servers, commented on the investment and appointment: “Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge to our business and Board. His appointment comes at a time when we plan to expand our services and reach to achieve our revenue target of £22M in the next three years. We are delighted to welcome him to our team and look forward to working closer together.”

together at community event SYNAXON has hailed the success of its recent UK regional community event, which brought a group of its most active MSPs, resellers and suppliers together to help channel partners unleash their potential. Around 40 attendees came together to hear about the latest offerings from leading supplier partners, Barracuda, Pax8 and OpenText, discuss market dynamics and share best practices. Synaxon partners from as far afield as Edinburgh attended the event, held at Molineux, the home of Premier League football club, Wolverhampton Wanderers. As well as hearing Synaxon’s plans to further develop its key offerings – Synaxon Hub, Synaxon Managed Services and the EGIS e-procurement platform, partners took part in a series of round-table discussions. Subjects covered included an exploration of the potential of extended detection and response (XDR) solutions and services, how to add value with cybersecurity, and the challenges of managing a growing portfolio of cloud customers.
