Life in the Channel

What is your vision for the company? We are focused on investing and growing Netgear for Business revenues. We see a massive opportunity for us to grow in this space by solving the needs of small and medium enterprises. We are investing in our R&D and will launch new products and solutions, transforming how networking is delivered for this segment. We have already started to see encouraging results with a 15% increase in revenues over the last quarter. We have been a leader in intelligent networking solutions

for more than 30 years, and we are known for our expertise and technology. We are not compromising on that hard-won reputation, but networking is not just about being online or in the cloud anymore. It’s now focused on leveraging connections that help businesses innovate, collaborate and enjoy extraordinary experiences.

Can you describe how you work with your channel partners? In the UK, we have a growing channel network of MSPs and resellers with expertise in business connectivity solutions, and we aim to expand it and increase their profitability. We regard our channel partners as our key customers, so it’s essential for us to understand their challenges. We know, for example, that enterprise networking is highly sensitive to operational costs, which are oſten too high, and this can eat into the profits of our MSPs. We can help with this by delivering straightforward, performative solutions that work from the moment they are installed, minimising the need for multiple time-consuming visits from the partner. We service our channel by focusing on easy onboarding

and providing access to training and marketing materials that enhance sales. We already offer free site surveys, which are essential to delivering connectivity at the highest level. Tese not only demonstrate our commitment but also enhance the relationship between the VAR and the customer. Te team behind the scenes at Netgear has been set up to

support the channel, allowing our channel partners to focus on their businesses and servicing customers. We work hard to keep them up to date on our products and fully support them both pre- and post-sales, which is where we add a lot of value. A key focus for us will be taking a local approach to account management while also offering support across different time zones, so we can give our partners and their customers rapid feedback, which we will also use to enhance our solutions.

How are you targeting the SME market? Tis is a sector where we see a significant opportunity to provide simplified, reliable, and cost-effective networking solutions that traditional enterprise solutions oſten fail to address. I have been working in this market for many years, and I have seen SMEs repeatedly struggle with complex, over-engineered, and expensive networking systems, or with fragmented solutions that lack support. Our plan is to fill this gap by working with our partners to

offer integrated, manageable, and scalable networking solutions that can be managed via an integrated cloud-native platform. Tis approach is designed to simplify networking for SMEs

working with limited budgets but big plans, empowering them to achieve the performance and reliability of high-end networking without the associated complexity and cost.

Why should businesses use Netgear solutions? Our solid reputation is a testament to the fact that we manufacture market-leading products that consistently deliver, and for businesses, this means they enhance their operations. We offer solutions that cater to every network connectivity

need, ranging from switches and routers to access points and mobile hotspots, all designed to address the specific challenges faced by businesses. We understand that, for many SMEs, IT resources are limited,

so we offer user-friendly interfaces to simplify installation and maintenance. Our ProSupport for Business service, as I mentioned, provides 24/7 assistance, ensuring minimal downtime and expert guidance when needed. With our switches and routers designed for scalability, we’re

also ready to support growth, accommodating increased business demands without compromising performance. Incorporating Netgear solutions allows SMEs to deliver

superior customer experiences, enhance employee productivity, and maintain a competitive edge through a reliable and secure networking infrastructure.

What do you think will be the key networking and connectivity trends in the year ahead that businesses should be aware of? SMEs are currently facing a pivotal moment in their technology adoption. Tey are juggling the challenge of balancing innovation with practical infrastructure upgrades and, given global financial pressures, modernising smartly without breaking the bank.

AI has moved beyond hype, and all aspects of doing business

will be transformed by it. Te need for a reliable and high- performing network remains, but AI will transform how network and IT operations are managed. We will see a world of AI Agents that integrate and assist with managing IT networks. Integrated soſtware solutions that address all aspects of network and security will make deploying such solutions easier due to the visibility they provide on all aspects of the network. Te native cloud will continue to be the primary mode

of delivering network management soſtware for small and medium-sized enterprises due to the lack of IT personnel. Tis segment has been slower to adopt cloud-native SASE solutions for security, but we believe that will change, and adoption will accelerate over the next few years. Wi-Fi 7 adoption will continue at a healthy pace, and this will

also result in upgrading the switching in the wiring closet. We will see more multi-gig adoption as a result. Another transformative trend is the convergence of AV and

IT. Traditionally, AV-over-IP and IT networks have been run separately, but there are numerous advantages to bringing them together. Te best approach is to work with a partner who understands both technologies and can simplify the process, delivering the best long-term outcome for the business.
