Canon UK updates imageFORCE multifunction range with C5100 and C6100 series
CANON UK & IRELAND has expanded its imageFORCE multifunction device range with the introduction of the C5100 and C6100 series, targeting channel partners who serve office and enterprise customers.
The new models incorporate machine learning-based automation to support uptime, diagnostics, and performance monitoring. Features include remote fault prediction and device-level analytics intended to reduce maintenance intervals and improve operational efficiency.
Each unit includes energy-saving functions and is built with
approximately 30% recycled materials. The updates are part of a broader initiative to align with customer sustainability targets and compliance requirements. Canon is providing UK partners with access to training materials and sales resources via its Partner Portal to support deployment and service engagement.

Kodak Alaris updates production scanner portfolio with S5000 Series and Capture Pro v7.0
KODAK ALARIS has introduced the S5000 Series Scanners and released version 7.0 of its Capture Pro Software, replacing the legacy Kodak i5000 Series. The new scanner models, S5160, S5180, and S5210, are designed for high-volume environments across enterprise and public sector organisations. All three models support the US Federal Agencies Digital Guidelines Initiative (FADGI) imaging standard and include a streamlined enablement process. Processing
powered by 32 CPU cores, and throughput reaches up to 1,260 images per minute using Tri-Stream ‘Scan-Once, Output-Many’ functionality. Additional hardware features include Perfect Page for enhanced image processing, metal detection to prevent damage, and Intelligent Document Protection for jam detection. The S5210 model features Image Addressing, allowing for batch document indexing via unique identifiers. All devices include a 9.3-inch control panel and 7.5-inch touchscreen interface. Capture Pro Software v7.0 introduces a redesigned interface and 64-bit architecture. New functionality includes Continuous
Cropping Mode for scanning segmented long-form documents, intended for reconstruction within the software platform.
