BenQ introduces ScreenBar Halo 2 monitor light
BenQ has released the ScreenBar Halo 2, a follow-up to its original monitor light, designed to improve visibility for users in low-light workspaces. The device features dual front and rear illumination, as well as a new tri-zone backlight system that reportedly expands coverage by 423%, aiming to reduce the contrast
between the monitor and its surroundings. The front light utilises BenQ’s ASYM-Light design, which features an 18-degree cut-off angle to minimise screen glare and direct eye exposure. Development incorporated findings from a study with the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, emphasising the importance of maintaining balanced ambient light for eye comfort. The product aligns with ANSI guidelines, maintaining a luminance ratio of less than 3:1 between the screen and adjacent areas.
BenQ also updated the wireless controller, allowing users to adjust brightness (0–100%) and colour temperature (2700K–6500K) on a coated interface designed to minimise fingerprints. The mounting mechanism has been reengineered using a zinc-alloy clamp that rests on the screen rather than clipping, to support various monitor types without applying pressure. Additional features include auto-dimming, power automation, and memory functions. The housing design was created in collaboration with Minimal Design and features a brushed metallic finish.

Logitech unveils Signature Slim Wired Combo for Business
LOGITECH has released the Signature Slim Wired MK620 and MK625 Combo for Business, a redesigned keyboard and mouse package aimed at environments where wired peripherals are preferred for operational continuity, device security, and shared access. The products support Windows, MacOS, and ChromeOS and connect via USB-C. The MK620 keyboard features laptop-style keys and includes a customisable AI Launch Key for quick access to tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. Users can configure additional shortcuts for meeting platforms, such as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom, through Logitech’s Logi Tune software. The mouse, available in two sizes (M520 and M520 L),

features an ambidextrous design, adjustable cursor speed, and a SmartWheel that toggles between fast-scroll and precise, line-by-line navigation. Logitech’s Silent Touch technology reduces audible clicks by up to 90%. Designed with IT deployment in mind, the combo includes an OS selector switch, remote device status monitoring via Logitech Sync, and global support access. Because the devices operate via wired connection, they eliminate battery and connectivity issues and are less prone to loss in public or shared settings. Environmental considerations include a keyboard plate made of low-carbon aluminium and a housing that contains a minimum of 66% post-consumer recycled plastic. Power efficiency has also improved: the keyboard consumes 49% less energy and the mouse 50% less than the previous MK120 wired combo.
