NETGEAR’S SME FOCUS GAINS MOMENTUM
Pramod Badjate, president and GM of Netgear for Business, shares insights into the company’s sharpened strategy for serving small and medium enterprises. MSP-friendly solutions, Netgear is investing in AI-driven development and expanding its AV-over-IP leadership to make enterprise-grade networking more accessible and manageable for businesses with lean IT resources.
Netgear for Business recently announced a new strategy. Can you tell us more about that? We’re addressing the unmet needs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Tis is a vast segment of the market, typically companies with 500 employees or less, that rely on small IT teams or managed service providers (MSPs) to deploy and manage their networks. Our approach focuses on enterprise-grade networking solutions that prioritise simplicity, reliability, and cost-efficiency. We are determined to eliminate the complexity of traditional
enterprise systems and bloated feature sets that are not needed in this segment, thereby adding unnecessary complexity and cost. We believe that we can reduce the cost of deploying a reliable, enterprise-grade network by up to 50% through a combination of competitively priced hardware, with cloud-delivered management

optimised for MSPs and uncomplicated licensing. Our strategy is to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions and services that ensure high performance and firm support, meeting the evolving needs of modern businesses. One of the steps we have taken to implement this strategy is a significant investment in research and development, including the acquisition of VAAG Systems in Chennai, India. Tis investment helps boost our soſtware capabilities, particularly in leveraging AI to simplify networking for SMEs. We’re also expanding our leadership in AV-over-IP and growing
our ecosystem of partners and solutions to power AV experiences. We’ve created products and platforms to make networking plug- and-play simple for AV professionals, and we aim to replicate this for IT networks.
