quality at the most reasonable prices. Our company size, flexibility and factory investors also allow us to create custom suspension forks too. We have done this for the likes of Stromer and Revolt amongst others with OEM manufacturing an available option for brands looking for the very best components for their builds.

What areas of the market do you target? Richard Hurst: We have a range of products that sit across the mountain bike, fat bike, adventure bike packing, cargo bike and even commuter sectors. Our initial success was in the fat bike suspension category where we enjoyed instant success with our widely acclaimed inverted design and, importantly for the fat bike market, extreme cold weather capability down to -41F. From there we expanded the range to mountain bike and beyond with products now including bars, stems, racks, rigid forks, seat posts, bottle cages and hubs. We only develop products that withstand hard usage across multiple disciplines. Our OneRack, for example, can be used on any wheel size and width across all disciplines. So you can use it on your commuter bike all week and then put it on your bike packing bike at the weekend. This is cost effective for both the end user and for the retailer who can stock one product for multiple customer types.

What makes the products unique? Kevin Wren: As well as the usage flexibility that Richard described, there are few things that we believe make Wren Sports somewhat unique or, at the very least, different from the masses. For example, we work very closely with our factory

investors to explore their areas of expertise that will add value to our products. As they are invested in our company, they are very open to new ideas and ways of producing products that will suit our markets.

Because of this boutique manufacturing approach and the flexibility enjoyed by working with our investment partners we are able to explore a wide spectrum of cycling very easily and we have the flexibility to target niche products within niche markets where appropriate. Richard Hurst: We are always looking to provide best in class products at affordable price points. Our forged aluminium stem is the lightest on the market, is fully ISO approved and has already been on multiple World Championship winning bikes as have our seatposts and bottle cages too. We are fully committed to providing the very best

What sort of feedback have you received from the industry so far? Richard Hurst: In a word, excellent. Our customer service ratings are exceptionally high with customers able to speak directly with myself, Russ or Kevin if they have any questions or issues. Technical queries are dealt with by the owners and by the product designers so there is no room for misunderstanding. We are genuinely here to help our customers whenever they need it. Kevin Wren: It is fair to say that the feedback on our products has been excellent too. Customers – both industry and end-user – praise the quality, durability and the price. The simplicity of servicing our forks is also highly appreciated as there is no need for specialist help or to send the fork away for work to be carried out. Any mechanic with a handful of widely available tools can service the fork in minutes which makes it extremely user friendly wherever in the world an adventure may take you. Richard Hurst: The fact that we have been producing

inverted forks long before it became so popular in the industry shows that we were ahead of the curve and we’re pleased to see that the industry is waking up to the many advantages of the inverted design. This is especially true in the cargo bike sector and our recent announcement of an all-new inverted cargo bike fork has proved exceptionally popular. Retailers appreciate the simplicity, durability and efficiency of our designs.

What are the plans for the remainder of 2024 and beyond? Kevin Wren: We have many. Whilst a small team, we are a very ambitious and driven bunch of people who are looking to expand across the world. Later this year you will also see new product developments coming from Wren and we will be looking to expand our network of global distributors and retailers. Richard Hurst: Strategic partnerships with OEM partners and retailers are prominent on my to do list here in the UK and Europe and we will also be looking to capitalise on the growth in the inverted fork market that Intend, Push and others have recently entered. We are also looking to support our local distributors such

as Podium Sports in the UK who, in turn, will be focussed alongside us in providing class-leading customer service to our retail partners. 
