around 1/3rd of IBDs don’t offer 0% finance, or do, but keep it hidden. I also found that only 7% of the IBDs feature a prominent ‘main message’, with 0% finance or other monthly payment schemes. Overall, this may suggest there is a missed opportunity to sell more bikes; how many is perhaps uncertain, but any additional sales can deliver incremental profit to the bottom line.
BA-NOVUNA JOINT SCHEME FEATURES The Bicycle Association and Novuna are working hand-in- hand to minimise the obstacles faced by independent stores in offering consumer finance with a scheme that is open to all IBDs:
FCA License consumer terms without a license, plus help with getting your own (or using an Appointed Representative Scheme) for longer term loans of 11-48 months. - we’re actively reaching out to all the EPOS/
ECOMM providers, with most major providers in the industry already Live/Integrated. Rates
grouping retailers together in one scheme (For example, a £3,000/10-month/0% loan would cost an IBD 5.94%).

- there are no sign-up or Admin fees with the BA or Novuna to access the scheme.
