pryder@datateam.co.uk EDITORIAL Time to Recharge

I don’t want to be a massive cliche, but where has this year gone!? Happy December, all. I hope this year has had more ups than downs, and I hope things are looking positive going into the new year. I also hope you get the chance to take some time to recharge, whatever that looks like for you. And not to sound like a broken record, but it’s been a challenging year. But,

there have also been chances to celebrate. Our awards being one of them. In this issue, you’ll find a recap of the awards and quotes from our winners. It was a really fantastic night. We’re so grateful for all the industry support, and for so many of you for coming along to celebrate. It’s important to take a moment to stop once in a while and focus on the good parts. A big thank you to all our sponsors; without you, the event would not be possible. And all of our judges for giving up their time. And to all of you who nominated and voted. We added some new categories for 2025 to try and celebrate a wider spectrum of the cycling industry. We also turned to you to find out how the year has been, with many of you sharing your thoughts on 2025. Find that in our newest ‘BikeBiz Asks’ feature. With uncertainty ahead, now is a good time to reflect. What went well, what can we do better? As individuals, businesses and as an industry. There’s certainly a lot of food for thought, and many are now trying to navigate the ongoing challenges and changes. If you’ve got any thoughts, questions or things you’d like to see (whether

that’s in the industry or in BikeBiz), please reach out, we’d love to hear from you. Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has contributed this year. Thank you for giving your time, words and expertise. Your contributions make our website and magazine all the richer. Interested in contributing? Email me at ljenkins@datateam.co.uk
