BIKEBIZ AWARDS DIVERSITY
Cycle Advocacy: FEL Scotland “We travelled down from Scotland, just pleased to be shortlisted, but not expecting to win. We were blown away to receive the award on the night, especially considering the quality of the competition in our category.
This feels like recognition of the work we are so pleased to be able to carry out, helping advocate for cycling and active travel in Forth Valley.” - FEL Active Travel Project Coordinator Ryan Flaherty and Senior Project Officer Drew Taylor
Diversity Champion: Miles Baker-Clarke “To even be nominated in this category full of powerhouse, dedicated individuals and organisations is a real honour. To take home the award is a dream. As somebody pushing for change in an industry that is not always receptive to it, it can be draining, so an award like this is more than just pretty glass and a moment in time, but is recognition and renewed fire to keep pushing and keep changing. Compared to some, Cycling Culture Club is a young initiative, but by its very nature, I feel we have the ability to bring so many people on the journey, diversifying cycling one voice at a time. Thanks again to Bikebiz for being true champions and giving space to this cause.” - Miles Baker-Clarke
Woman of the Year: Emily Childs “I’m truly honoured to be named Woman of the Year at the BikeBiz Awards.
Building Cade Media has been a journey driven by passion,
hard work, and a love for the cycling community.” - Emily Childs
