ERT AWARDS A certified carbon neutral event! S 12
ustainability is at the top of companies, small and large, agendas in 2025, and there goes right through the supply chain - all the way to the desires of the end consumer.
So whether that’s manufacturers sourcing the most sustainable materials or retailers reducing their energy usage in store, we all know that our industry can play a major part in ensuring
we protect our planet for generations to come. This is why the ERT Awards is a key event in the industry’s calendar and majorly important that we reflect these values. So with the help and support of our sustainability partners - AEG, Electrolux, AMDEA, and The Appliance Recycling Group - we plan to complete a rigorous data collection process to make the ERT Awards 2025 a completely carbon neutral event.
We are on a continuing journey to calculate the whole carbon footprint of the event generated before, during and after the day itself. Once complete we will offset all the carbon produced by the event by supporting official eco-friendly projects around the world.

Electrolux and AEG is proud to return as a Sustainability Partner for the ERT Awards. The company believes it is essential that industry events demonstrate a commitment to sustainable practices. Partnering with the ERT Awards allows Electrolux to highlight the importance of sustainable innovation within the electrical retail sector and to celebrate those driving meaningful change. The collaboration reflects Electrolux’s ongoing commitment to helping independent retailers offer energy-efficient, eco-conscious products, while promoting sustainable choices in homes across the UK.
Over the past two decades, AMDEA members have made significant strides in reducing the energy and water consumption of domestic appliances through innovative, eco-friendly design and technology. The industry’s commitment to sustainability extends across every stage of operations, from reducing emissions to prolonging product lifespans and facilitating repairs. By giving appliances a second life and ensuring materials are recycled at the end of their use, AMDEA members help conserve resources. With millions of appliances in UK homes, the sector’s continued focus on efficiency and sustainability plays a vital role in supporting future net zero goals.
The Appliance Recycling Group is optimistic about the future, highlighting how current actions are shaping smarter consumption and promoting sustainable choices among consumers. By supporting the ERT Awards sustainability initiative, the group raises awareness of environmental responsibility while maintaining momentum in the electronics sector. It also addresses social and economic challenges, such as appliance poverty, where some households cannot afford to replace broken appliances. In 2024, a push to involve smaller independent retailers in mainstream recycling solutions has created a consistent platform across the UK, enabling more repair, reuse, and community donations, and advancing industry-wide sustainability goals.
The ERT Awards returns to The Grand Connaught Rooms in London, on Thursday 23 October, once again bringing the whole industry together to recognise excellence and celebrate success across the electrical retail sector… Don’t miss your chance to see the unveiling of this year’s winning line-up It promises to be a fun-filled afternoon with a networking drinks reception, a three-course lunch and entertainment.
