With its membership growing year-on-year, the strength of support from CEDIA is reaching further than ever before with an increasing range of technology and installation solutions. Here, Matt Nimmons, Managing Director of CEDIA EMEA, speaks exclusively about what’s driving the Association forward.


T his year CEDIA, the international trade


organisation for the home technology industry, celebrated its 30th anniversary.


The Association was founded in the USA to advocate the needs of the technology integrator by becoming the leading resource, promoting commerce, offering training and aiding in the assembly and future work of the whole industry. The go-to home technology source for consumers


and professionals alike, CEDIA has grown into an international association, with more than 3,700 member companies worldwide, providing access to industry-leading education, certification, research and raising consumer awareness.


The UK branch (CEDIA EMEA, which covers the


UK, Europe, Africa, this CIS, the Middle East, India and Pakistan) was launched in 1996. The man responsible for this region is Matt Nimmons, Managing Director, EMEA; in this exclusive interview with ERT, he talks about the success of the Association and how its 30th year has
