On the most popular sector for built-in appliances, the spokesperson explains: “Our most popular products are our Insta-fit Master American-style Multidoor refrigerators, as they offer versatility. They can be used as freestanding products or integrated seamlessly into kitchen cabinets for a flush fit, giving the benefits of traditional built-in design while offering larger internal capacity.” Regarding the appeal of built-in appliances, they add: “Increased time at home and the importance of kitchen design are key drivers of built-in popularity. Consumers now expect legacy built-in appliances to deliver the same energy performance and capacity as freestanding products, but in a smaller footprint that integrates with their kitchen style. This is what Midea focuses on with our Insta-fit Master range across laundry and refrigeration.” Alternatively, Dan Young, Cooking Category Manager at Miele GB, highlights the brand’s latest innovations in built-in appliances, focusing on performance, efficiency and smart connectivity. “Our most recent launch is the updated G7000 built-in dishwasher range, delivering our highest level of performance and efficiency to date,” says Mr Young. “One key milestone for us this year is achieving A-ratings across both our G5000 and G7000 60cm dishwashers. This consistency is increasingly important for retailers, as customers prioritise low running costs and long-term sustainability when choosing appliances.”
Looking ahead, he adds: “Next year, we will expand our fridge range to include XXL models, designed to give households more usable space and better flexibility in a fully integrated format. We will also introduce our smart KM8000 induction hob and M Sense Cookware, which communicate together for precise results. Recipes can be sent directly from the Miele app to the hob, with the cookware guiding each step and automatically adjusting the temperature for flawless cooking – without burning or boiling over.” On the most popular built-in sector, Mr Young notes: “The cooking category continues to be our strongest performer. Demand is particularly high for multifunctional products such as combination ovens that bring steam and fan heat together in one appliance. These models maximise versatility while making the best use

of space, appealing to households seeking professional-style results without expanding their appliance bank. Their popularity also reflects a broader appetite for energy-efficient, long-lasting products, which is especially relevant in the current economic climate.” He explains why built-in appliances are so appealing: “They offer a streamlined, design- led finish that suits today’s preference for clean kitchen schemes. Homeowners increasingly want appliances that blend effortlessly into the wider layout. At the same time, smart connectivity – from remote operation to real- time monitoring via an app – allows customers to manage their built-in appliances in a way that fits around busy lifestyles. Energy performance is another major driver; our full range of 60cm dishwashers achieving an A rating gives homeowners confidence they’re choosing products that combine low running costs with long-term sustainability.” Miele’s recent and upcoming built-in innovations include the G 7760 SCVi AutoDos fully integrated dishwasher, VitroLine Pearl Beige cooking appliances, and the upcoming KM8000 induction hob with M Sense Cookware, all of which combine advanced technology, intuitive operation and a premium, design-led finish.

“We are very excited to share that we have new aesthetics being launched mid-2026, so be sure to keep an eye out!” says the spokesperson. On the most popular sectors, they explain: “For our built-in appliances, ovens and hobs are definitely our most popular categories. Having started as a cooking brand with our proud Italian heritage, we offer innovative built-in appliances that showcase premium cooking at the heart of the home. For example, our SpeedwaveXL ovens combine traditional and microwave cooking in a single appliance, with the option to use both and save up to 40% on cooking times. It also provides a space-saving solution by requiring only one appliance. With a 13-amp connection, it offers great flexibility in placement and ease of installation.” Regarding why built-in appliances appeal to consumers, the spokesperson notes: “Minimalist kitchen styles continue to be very popular. With the desire for fewer appliances and decluttered countertop surfaces, built-in solutions offer the perfect answer. By using décor doors or sliding kitchen cabinets, appliances can be hidden away, allowing homeowners to personalise the heart of their home with a clean, simplistic design.” On the trend of retailers adding fitted kitchens
in-store, they add: “This allows customers to visualise products more effectively as part of their shopping journey. Having fitted kitchens on display lets customers see how appliances could fit within their own homes, providing inspiration and helping them personalise the space to their kitchen style.”
