Welcome to the 2023 edition of the annual Housewares Awards!
A
s most of you will be aware, the Housewares Awards were set to make a return on 7th July at the Tower Hotel in London. However, due to the temporary closure of the Tower Hotel until November 2023, the formal awards ceremony was cancelled. While the unfortunate circumstances led to the difficult decision, the Housewares team have been delighted by the support from the industry, as well as the influx of entries from the very best suppliers and retailers in the sector. Our panel of judges have also worked extremely hard, meticulously looking at each entry and applying their industry expertise. As a result, we have dedicated this issue to recognising the excellence in the industry, whether it is the innovative products, flourishing individuals or forward-thinking businesses. Whilst I have only been working on the magazine for a short period of time, Housewares Magazine is the original business-to-business magazine for housewares
retailers and suppliers. Since its first publication in 1983, the sector has witnessed extreme highs but also extreme lows. In spite of the challenges, however, the industry has persevered. From the post-pandemic effects on retail to the current cost-of-living crisis, businesses continue to thrive. Over the last six months, retailers and suppliers across the sector have put themselves in the running to win an award, and the high calibre of entries is a true testament to the success, dedication and hard-work in the sector. In this issue, you will gain an insight into everything
from our highly esteemed panel of judges and shortlist of finalists to our deserving winners who will receive the ultimate accolade. The Housewares team would like to congratulate the finalists and winners and thank the industry for the continued support.
