Subway takes tops the charts for customer satisfaction

great accolade from the Institute of Customer Service here in the UK. As a business we ended 2019 across the UK and Ireland with our highest-ever guest service score... Our goal now is to build on this recognition... as we say at Subway, service is what you get and hospitality is how it makes you feel.” Jo Causon, CEO of The Institute of

u Subway, the quick-service restaurant (QSR) franchise, has been recognised as ‘best in industry’ and among the top companies in the UK for delivering first- class customer service, according to a major study. The July 2020 UK Customer

Satisfaction Index (UKCSI), published by The Institute of Customer Service, has named Subway joint sixth out of more than 271 organisations for customer

satisfaction across 13 sectors. Subway is the top-ranked ‘leisure’ company in the study, as well as the top ranking QSR in the top 50. Colin Hughes, Subway's country

director UK and Ireland said: “I am absolutely delighted that the exceptional guest service provided by our hard- working Sandwich Artists and franchise owners has been recognised by our guests and has been reflected in this

Customer Service, says: “Our latest UKCSI results show that Subway’s customer satisfaction has risen over the past 12 months and they now top their sector. In challenging times a strategic focus on the customer, combined with clear and consistent communications are even more important. Our research shows that businesses that get this right – and who sustain it over time – see higher levels of growth, profitability and productivity. If Subway can maintain a similarly high level of service over the coming months and years, they will be well placed to capitalise as lockdown restrictions ease and we emerge from the current crisis.”

FRANCHISING WOMEN IN

Be more local – with your own business

When Covid-19 lockdown restrictions were imposed, many of us started to shop local, as well as online. Such was the desire to support local businesses. If you’re thinking about starting your own local business, now couldn’t be a better time for you to invest in a franchise.

Helen Mansfield is managing director of Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWIF)

Local businesses are likely to become an important part of our community again, following the coronavirus outbreak. So, why invest in a franchise rather than starting your own business? 1. You keep your business local. You may join a national brand,

but your business is homegrown.

2. You can quickly provide a service to your community. Your new business will provide a service or product, the franchisor has already demonstrated people want.

3. You’re not alone. Running any business can be tough, but with the support of your franchise, you benefit from regular encouragement.
