FRANCHISE ADVICE
"I’ve been in franchising for over 20 years and seen several downturns and throughout those, franchising always comes to the fore"
y Is the franchise business itself sound? Will the business generate good profit, not just turnover?
y Essentially, is the original business model an established brand in its market and a well- proven success?
y As always, check that genuine training is given, and speak to a selection of existing franchisees
y Be willing to go with a new franchisor if it holds appeal... but always, always seek advice before any commitment.
Henry Ford also said : “You can
have any colour you like, as long as its black”... so not much choice there, then! However, you can have any franchise you want as long as you follow the abovementioned guidelines… We wish you the best of luck in your
new opportunity. And by the way, if you are a potential
franchisor yourself how many of these criteria you can tick off? If most of them, get in touch with professionals – such as ourselves at Ashtons – to help your company join the franchising world and spread your brand and expertise.
