The bfa announces annual conference keynote speakers

u The British Franchise Association (bfa) has announced its first four speakers at the bfa Annual Conference 2019. With a focus on the next generation

of franchising, these external speakers bring a wide range of expertise to the conference. The speakers are as follows:

Main Stage Jason Bradbury Best known as the host of Channel 5’s The Gadget Show from 2004 to 2016, Jason is a self-labelled “first-generation geek”, fixated on all things tech. As well as presenting, he focuses on

past technological breakthroughs and explains why he believes the next 10 years could see as much progress as the past millennium.

Jason will be talking about the importance of technology and how to integrate it into business, where tech trends are going, and the implications for the business world.

Lucy Adams Lucy was the BBC’s HR director during a turbulent period between 2009 and 2014, and responsible for employee relations, rewards, training, development and redundancies. During her time, the corporation adjusted to four new Director Generals, the move to Salford, and a 30 per cent reduction in management, as well as ensuring the effective delivery of the 2012 London Olympics coverage. Frustrated by the lack of innovation in the sector, she founded company Disruptive HR to effect change in the industry. Lucy will be speaking about change management, leadership, and the importance of people in any business.

Next Generation Zone Ben Towers Starting his web design business at just 11, Ben was running a company by the time he was studying for his GCSEs. Before 18 he was overseeing a

fully fledged online branding and social media consultancy. Having exited his first business and now building his second, he provides insights into the social media landscape and the future of business. Ben will be giving advice and tips on

how to use social media and integrate it into a brand.

Jenny Radcliffe, AKA The People Hacker Jenny can defuse a crisis situation, talk her way into a secure building and spot a psychopath at 100 paces. An expert in social engineering, negotiations, non-verbal communication and deception, Jenny uses her skills to help a wide range of clients protect themselves from malicious social engineering attacks. Jenny will be explaining the different

kinds of threats an organisation may face in today's commercial environment and how to protect against them.
