The brand is currently experiencing rapid expansion and is set to open another 12 stores in the UK in 2017, bringing the total to 40. To fuel its expansion, Esquires is looking to attract multi-site and single-site franchise partners, as well as acquiring existing smaller coffee chains and independents. Coffee is a booming sector, estimated to be worth £7.2billion according to Allegra’s 2016 Project Café UK report, making now a great time to invest. The coffee is of course the jewel in Esquires’ crown, which is made from 100 per cent Fairtrade and organic Arabica beans. This is important to the Esquires customer, who has a high awareness of and appreciation for artisan, quality coffee. However, it’s not just the coffee that’s good; Esquires has a vast beverage menu made up of Fairtrade hot chocolate, Italian milkshakes, iced teas and fruit and veggie smoothies, among many others. The food offering is fresh with handcrafted and locally sourced products wherever possible. Along with great coffee, a fantastic food offering


and stylish store design, what really makes Esquires special is the people that help run it. Esquires’ franchise partners and their teams of staff are the backbone of the organisation. Esquires is committed to providing its franchisees with extensive training in all aspects of running the business before they open their store. This includes learning how to make the perfect latte, use the electronic point-of-sale system, manage stock levels and staff, and monitor the business via the back office.


Esquires baristas are also enrolled on the brand’s barista training programme, where they will learn everything from the origins of the coffee and the process it takes from bean to cup, to how to effectively use the espresso machine and grinder, craft latte art and train new members of staff.
