on another level, the club is incredible both in terms of sound system and lighting. And the dance floor! It created an atmosphere, a vibe, that we believe many were looking for in the city and couldn’t find. “Balancing bookings is crucial because in Madrid, programming our style of artists is very

difficult; here, techno sells.

But we try to remain true to our style until we find the formula.”

The Madrid audience is clear about it and supports them with each of the events they bravely hold monthly. ”I didn’t think I’d find in Madrid the spirit of the Ibiza parties I miss so much when I’m not on the island,” reads

one of the audience’s

after one of their parties. music. Jazzy

comments “It’s not just the has a soul,” says another. PREDICTING THE FUTURE BY CREATING IT.

The good news is what happens in Madrid doesn’t stay in Madrid. Jazzy has expanded its borders and taken a spectacular next step, presenting its proposal in other cities: “We can’t reveal the names yet, but in 2024 many artists who have never played with us are coming,” tells us Jordi Castell. “When programming, we mainly rely on our tastes and influences. Often they are our favorite artists and also good friends. We have had a good relationship with many of them for years.” But it doesn’t stop there. ”We’re also going to collaborate with big brands in other countries: Why?Not in Zanzibar, Comuna 13 in Medellín, and Fabric in London.”

THE PARTY CONTINUES, AND THE LAST ONE DOESN’T TURN OFF THE LIGHTS.

The Future? While Jazzy on tour is already a reality, consolidating this scene in Madrid is their priority. ”Our intention is to continue creating a scene, differentiating ourselves from local artists’ parties, and bringing freshness by bringing in DJs from the national and international scene, something we’re achieving with a lot of work and enthusiasm.”

Musical programming, venue selection, vibe creation, professionalization, and international projection. So many steps in the right direction are not coincidental. The Jazzy team comprises three beloved and reputable DJs from Madrid’s house scene (Alvaro Medina, Jordi Castell, and Maryo) and Diego Aldea, one of the best national bookers. Despite their youth, all of them have been working in elec- tronic music for over a decade. Four drops that, when combined, become the sea.
