Sangiuliano (and HI-LO), which took the crowd by surprise but ended up working out very well. Ever since I’ve run into many fans who tell me that I got them into Techno. It’s been a blessing to be so active and present in the electronic dance music world from such an early age. And I feel grateful to have many of my early fans musically maturing and growing alongside me.”
HARMONY IN COLLABORATION
Collaborations have been a key element in forming HI-LO’s sonic DNA. The partnership with Eli Brown on ‘RIDE OR DIE’, amongst previous releases, perfectly
exemplifies
this. Through simplicity and impact, they crafted a track that resonated deeply with
audiences, leaving an mark on their musical narratives.
“The creative approach on this track was simple, but that’s also one of Eli Brown’s biggest strengths. He knows how to keep things simple yet have much impact and stand out. Before our b2b at E1 London in March of this year, Eli and I were in a
studio session when Eli showed me a cool vocal sample that he had found. We both thought it would be cool to use a similar approach as my rework of ‘WANNA GO BANG’ with DJ Deeon, and from there we built a track around the ‘RIDE OR DIE’ vocal. That same night we played it during our b2b set and both realized we had something big on our hands. It went OFF! Lately, Eli and I have been doing more sessions, and I can’t wait to show you the new collaborations we’ve been working on.”
A SYMPHONY OF BALANCE
In the whirlwind of a thriving music career, Oliver’s commitment to balance is paramount. A nondrinker with a focus on health and wellness, he’s learned to navigate the temptations of the industry. A deliberate approach to touring and dedicated time in the studio allows him to find equilibrium, ensuring that creativity flows uninhibited.
