Klaudia, you’ve had a successful run wi th “YDK” and “Resilience” on Illusion Recordings. What inspired the direction and energy behind your latest release “Crazy”?

“It seems at the moment hard and fast techno is taking over, and that if you play this way it’s a sure fire way to get success. So automatically, I think everyone is making their tracks or sets a little harder then before.

Its

not about changing how or what you play, but maybe just adapting to the current scene. I have always had a harder sound, as its what I enjoy making and love playing, so for me, its not an adjustment to follow a trend. I love vocals, as you already know, so it was important for me to have those in a lot of my tracks, if not all of them. I feel they give it another depth. I had a crazy 2023 with gigs and more, so this track emulates that, with its title and pace. It just hits so good.”

The track description paints a picture of a relentless peak-time assault. How do you envision DJs using “Crazy” in their sets, and what sort of atmosphere do you hope it will create on the dance floor?

“This track to me feels like you are releasing something, whether it be anger or emotions. The vocal gets quiet in parts, and then hits you hard after the break. It feels good. It’s there to drive the bad energy away and release whatever you are holding onto. This is what it does for me anyway, so I hope everyone can feel its energy when I play it out.”

Industrial percussion and raw tonal ac- cents are key components of “Crazy”. How did you approach the production pro- cess

to a craft these signature sounds?

“The main sound of the track is the bell sound, with

frequency modulation. The drums

are from some different loops on sample packs. There is a lot of compression and over- drive to get those rough and raw sounds.”

You’ve incorporated catchy looping vocal hooks into the track. Can you shed some light on the origin or vocals?

inspiration behind these

“I found the vocal in my vocal library! I have a lot in there. I record them a lot and save them for something in the future. As I mentioned, at the time that this one was recorded, I was going through a crazy time, so the vocals emulate that. I think it’s the way that I process thoughts and try

to sort myself, bringing

everything in he right direction.” Given

that Illusion Recordings is still

relatively new, having been launched in March this year, how do you see “Crazy” shaping the identity and future direction of the label?
