ONE of the highlights of the festive season is Father Christmas’s annual pre-Christmas tour of the Ribble Valley. In the weeks leading up to Christmas Day,
there are many opportunities for local chil dren to meet Father Christmas and pass on their Christmas wishes. He makes his annual tour of Clitheroe and
its surrounding villages courtesy of Clitheroe Round Table, who provide suitably festive transport for the VIP visitor. He will be spreading a seasonal message of
peace and goodwill while collecting money for Round Table charities. Many people contact the Round Table for
help with local initiatives each year and its members are proud to support deserving causes across the Ribble Valley. Please give generously, as the money you give will be ploughed back into local good causes all year long. Father Christmas will do his best to visit

Meet ings are normally held on the second and fourth Monday of the month. These meetings consist of visits, guest speakers, business meetings or other activities. Entry into the Round Table is open to
young men aged between 18 and 45. Round Table is all about having fun
while at the same time trying to help the community.

local villages. This year the newly built Santa Sleigh replaces one of the older sleighs that had seen better days. Chairman Rob Stevenson and Ways
and Means Officer Darren Fletcher have designed and built the sleigh with assis tance from other Tablers for the painting. Many local companies have con
tributed, including: Dawsons, Soar Inte rior Designs, Waterloo Timber, Timber- matic, Primrose Garage & M&P Signs. Many local good causes benefit from
this annual fund raising; donations have been made to Crossroads, East Lan cashire Hospice, Life Education Centres for Lancashire, Clitheroe First Respon ders, St Johns Ambulance, etc.
