TH ER E was exam delight across the Kib ble Valley this week as pupils ce lebra ted A- level success. At Clitheroe Royal
Grammar School one high flier achieved top marks in five different subjects. Mark Bailey gained A-
grades in French, general studies, German, history and politics. Among his fellow sixth

formers, four others gained three A-grades in different subjects and a further 16 scored top marks in four subject areas. Speaking about the
achievements of her pupils, CRGS’ headteacher Miss Judith Evans, said: “We are delighted with the excellent A-level results at CRGS. Congratulations go to our very hard-working students and dedicated staff. The support given by parents and governors is much appreciated.” Also celebrating this
week were the grammar school’s AS-level students. Among those enjoying their studying success were
the 10 pupils who achieved top scores in five different subject areas. But the top trio were
