. . PICK OF THE DAY

Ho Ho Ho Selecta!, Ch 4, 10.30pm. This pro gramme promises to be proper bo. In fact, it’s unlikely there’s anything else quite like it on TV this Christmas. Once again Transylvanian superfan Avid Merrion offers a bizarre insight into his celebrity-obsessed world. However, he isn’t the funniest thing about Bo’ Selecta, the series whose cult following has grown consid erably this year. Instead, the rubber-masked celebrity ‘doubles’ are the real scene-stealers. Expect to see a fake Craig David visiting Santa, Michael Jackson and Mel B carol singing, and Elton John providing an alternative Queen’s Speech in this bumper selection box which should never be taken seriously.
